oh it's raining in Del .... what are the chances of we getting a game

a washout would mean Del is still in with a chance, while Kol would be out from a KO berth

can't believe that you are wasting your time on that^

isn't it clear that the first comment was based on the article that talked abt the rift and the next one after that SMS

and i already spoon-fed you earlier with the post below 8-)

"if you had the time to think, you would have noticed that i commented on a post, along with an article with link provided in it, where it talked abt the rift

then I said that SRK did a sensible job of staying out of doing things, which he says, he doesn't understand fully

and ofc i do believe that there is a minor rift and thats acknowledged by SRK too when he says that it's no more than whats common in a workplace .... mentioning that in the SMS tells me that there is no smoke without fire

don't know how have i changed my opinion"

I know, but they've been duds. They don't deserve another game.

The whole 'Indians' thing puts me off too. I love seeing Indians get belted. So my dislike of Mumbai is probably just an extension of that.
Wow. Don't post in this thread anymore.

Your baby boy Ponting did **** all for the tournament despite whinging about his low price, and then pissed off home. You should do the same.

BARNES OUT
I've really enjoyed the IPL so far. It's on really late but it doesn't go for too long so I can usually watch it all. There's been some quality and exciting cricket and some future stars really announcing themselves on a bigger stage.

Look forward to this tournament in future.

There is a difference between being the CEO of a company and being its single share-holder. These franchisees are the latter and they do not know the 'business of their companies' as in the case of many investor/proprietors in industries too.

In such a case the owner has to either get a CEO to run the company for him or make shift with a clutch of professional managers and try to participate in the decision making by learning along the way (often from his managers and sometimes from outside advisors). This is a risky proposition but may work if those whose advise is taken may give good advise and the owner may be discerning enough to know which advise makes more sense.

In cricket with the CEO's position unclear even to many boards - Captain or Coach or Sharad Pawar ?? - its not surprising that the franchise owner is in a bigger mess than an investor owner in an industry.

And as in industry you do not realise how good or bad the advise and/or decisions are if things just happen to go favourably which can happen in both business and cricket - though the latter is more unpredictable.

So you cant but pity the Shah Rukh Khans. What does the poor guy do. He hasn't a clue what to do when things go wrong and for sure he will have many people giving contrary advise/opinions.

Wow, just saw the post match for the Mumbai-Punjab game and Yuvi

"I'd like to thank the crowd for their support. It was very one sided, I hope next time you remember that Punjab also has Indian players in their team."

 Oh dear, bit of a crybaby this one. Personally I thought it was awesome seeing them get behind the team and try and get under the opposition's skin. It worked too.

Yeah Yuvi definitely has crybaby qualities, but you must admit that his runout on the last ball was so awesome.

He's not the best captain, or even a good one, but that defined leadership.

It’s great to see a sense of sporting regionalism emerging for one of the problematics the IPL faced was making the Indian populace get beyond ‘their’ region/city franchises.

Looks like Mumbai is developing a reputation of being hostile to visiting sides regardless if their usual heroes are lining up in the opposition, which can only benefit the IPL in the long term for it denotes the fans actually give a **** if their ‘boys’ win or not. Good signs.

iirc, the knockouts are to be played at the most expensive franchise's venues .... with Mumbai being the most expensive franchise, it gets to host the knockouts

imo, Bombay has probably the best atmosphere that I have seen with fans lightening up the games .... i haven't seen one empty seat in the stands so far :)
