Oh and in other news, hands up if you think Wednesday will be Ronaldo's last game for United?

If you have your hand up, keep it up if you think that means we'll see a different English champion next season.

Yep, my hand is still up

This circus is sometimes why I sometimes get uninterested in top flight football. I mean there is a thousand different stories each week that Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Amauri (Palermo in Serie A), Zlatan Ibramohimovic, Didier Drogba, Deco, Samuel Eto'o, Frank Lampard, Kaka, Emmanuel Adebayor all will be playing for different clubs next season. To use the Amauri situation for example, it is almost certain Palermo will sell him, last week he was '98%' a Juventus player and then Real Madrid step in and now he is down to '33%' and now he looks likely to join AC Milan instead, not bad for a guy who is rated so highly in Italy but has never played for Brazil or he will even join Chelsea. And it is like that with the players I mentioned and others as well.

Seeing you and Mitchell's (and Neil) support of a League 1 - Conference sides make me wish I lived in England because I would probably be in the same boat as well.

Yawn, I can see it's going to be another long summer with the Ronaldo rumour mill. As I said yesterday, while I don't want him to go, if he does it will be for a lot of money, which would allow us to address areas that need addressing, so it wouldn't be a huge disaster IMO.

Don't want Richards, not that I don't rate him, but he's not realistically breaking the Vidic-Ferdinand partnership, and there's also Pique there as well. EDIT: Though on second thoughts, we need a right back, and while he hasn't played there recently, I'd take him, so yes.

Even City fans seem to accept that Richards is coming to OT. Personally dont see it happening, but who knows. Dont think he can do it at RB personally, whilst he can tackle he offers naff all going forward.

I know he doesn't play at RB when playing for City but the times he has played RB for England he definately has looked very solid going foward. Would be the perfect long term replacement for Neville, althogh rumors of Alves coming would be solid also.

I have no idea as to why Ronaldo would want to move from United TBH.
Would only ever leave for Madrid or Barcelona I imagine, 1) because they are the only two clubs in the world who could realistically afford to pay for his transfer fee and wages.
2) Because arguably they are the only two clubs in the world who have a more prestigious reputation than Man Utd.

That said, I still imagine its very unlikely he will be move.

Oh aye, he could run all day down the right, might even get past a man or two, cant cross though, so its all wasted. England looked so one dimensional with Richards and SWP on the right, plenty of movement, no end product.

Englands right side is generally like that unless Beckham is playing imo, or maybe David Bentley.

Edit: or Theo Walcott

No end product from SWP, all the quality crossing from the right in the games againts Israel, Russia & Estonia came from Richards until Beckham returned for the Croatia game.

Crossing isn't a strong part of Richards game ATM, but it isn't a major weakness at all compared to other English full-backs in the premiership.

all, meaning none.

If you saying Richards can't cross then you are suggesting he is no better than your average English premiership right-back ATM which is not true.

No, i'm not suggesting that in the slightest actually. He is the best English right back in the premiership, but he cannot cross.

If he does leave it won't be for pure footballing reasons. Can see him preferring to live in Barcelona or Madrid than Manchester though.

And yes I personally agree with Sledger, while him moving is not out of the question I would be slightly surprised if he did leave. Real Madrid or Barcelona are the only ones who he would leave for IMO.
