The RAW promo they had for Michaels v Chris wasn't good at all. Killed what little momentum they had previously for mine. Although Shawn giving him the SCM and getting one over him gave me a little hope that Chris might be due something later in the feud.
be very surprised if he wins tbh, the fact that the IC title isnt on the line for this match, heavily suggests that HBK will win, and he'll obviously do it clean as well. Which is pretty damn pointless, as HBK isnt going to enter the main event scene for a while, probably end up feuding with JBL I would have thought. Whereas Jericho will remain on the midcard, jobbing to whoever the E decide to put over next. Crap really.

On the Subject of Y2J jobbing all the time, has he even won a PPV match since his return?

Armageddon - win by DQ, pretty much a job.

Royal Rumble - think he may have won this one, but was it by DQ again? either way i'm pretty sure it wasnt clean.

No Way Out - elimination chamber, was never going to win.

WM - was obviously not going to win here, and predictably didnt.

Backlash - no meaningful part to play here.

in fact come to think of it, I can probably count the amount of times he has won a 1 vs 1 match on RAW since his comeback on one hand, and those include victories over the likes of Santino Marella etc...dire, such a waste, esspecially when the E apparently broke the bank to get him back.

Not sure about when he last went over on a PPV but all I know is he hasn't won a match that mattered for a long long time and I'm talking many years here.

Not to harp on it but he'll never be what he should've been thanks to certain friends backstage.

and yeah, the last important match I can remember him having was probs back at WM19 when he faced HBK for the first time.

ok...predictions for Judgement Day on Sunday...

HHH vs Orton
HHH to retain clean and probably bury Orton in the process.

Edge vs Taker
probs be a reasonable match, taker picking up the win.

Cena vs JBL
imagine Cena will get the win here, probs end controversially, rematch in a months time.

Morrison and Miz vs Kane and CM Punk
not really sure about this one...probably be a good match, could go either way.

Jericho vs HBK
the one match I would really like to see, though it appears at the moment this is just a filler feud, that coupled with the fact that the IC title is not on the line heavily suggests to me that HBK will go over Y2J here, which sucks.

Divas
dont care.

interesting that Batista doesnt have a match (not that I care), and neither big show, in fact come to think of it I dont think either of them have been on TV much since Backlash

not a terrible PPV card, though there is only one match there that genuinely interests me.

doubt Jeff Hardy will get a place either, nor Matt Hardy or MVP, or even Regal, pretty stupid that they have left so many guys out, i'm sure they could fit at least 2 more matches onto that card, seeing as it is a 3 hour show, i'm sure there were more matches per PPV card about 5 years ago...

well either way, i'd say that a large part of Y2J being kept down is HHH imo, they apparently dislike each other a great deal, and the way he buried Y2J at WM19 would back this up. But then the list of people HHH has stopped from reaching their utmost potential is hardly limited to Jericho, sigh.

I remember a shoot that happened a couple of years ago (can't remember who but definitely one of WWE's staff) that Shawn was the one who felt most threatened by the Jericho when he joined the E and was getting mega mega over and Trips sort of took up the fight on his behalf in a lot of the locker room politicking.

It could be wrong and I know Trips will never let Jericho be what he should be but I know there a lot between him and Hbk too.

Understand why HBK would feel threatened by Jericho tbh, as he was pretty much his natural successor. But in fairness HBK now seems more prepared to put people over, as he spent the last few months of 2007 repeatedly jobbing to Orton. Shame about HHH really, as the one thing that is really stopping him from being elevated to a true "legend" of the business, is himself, and the way he draws so much contempt from marks and smarts alike for burying pretty much anyone who gets in on his act.

The fact that Jericho has been buried so many times by so many different guys shows what a decent fella he is though, as he's let countless people go over him clean for the good of the company, all at his own expense, whereas HHH has done the exact opposite, nice guys finish last in the WWE I guess.

looks like my judgement day predictions were 100% right, and sure enough, Y2J loses again, though from the sounds of things the crowd weren't having any off it, and were mega behind Y2J for the entire match, booing HBK when he hit the superkick, if this is the final match in this particular feud (though I hope it isnt) then its been a terrible waste of time, much like the rest of this PPV tbh.

Just downloaded this match and the worst part for me was seeing Michaels reversing The Walls into a weak assed cradle for the win. Such a good match with such a **** off ending.

And now they're teasing a Batista v Shawn matchup again so Jericho gets left in the lurch after another fine job.

And they're going to continue this Taker v Edge feud? As much as I've loved it, overkill can happen so quickly in wrestling.

Trips retaining = meh.

Pretty much sums up Jericho really, teh guy is probably the most popular jobber (bar maybe foley) in recent memory. Would have been so much better for Jericho to lock in the walls, HBK tap out and Y2J turn fully heel and team with orton or something, gah, now I bet he will be left without a meainingful program for a few months, and probably get a feud with Jeff hardy hashed together (which he will obviously lose) and then do nothing for the rest of the year.

HHH as you say is meh, but him retaining was just so obvious, like WWE on a whole I suppose.

This should have been the blow off for edge/taker, instead we'll get a lot of what we have already seen rammed down our throats once more, and people like MVP will just be hanging around doing nothing, argh.

Oh FFS, looks like the HBK/Batista angle is back on, and its been kickstarted by Y2J jobbing to Batista on RAW, just ****, again the crowd were mega behind Jericho and gave Batista loads of heat, but yet the E put Batista over as a face, oh ****ing hell, so annoying, ****.

Agreed with the Jericho vs Michaels match. It wasn't as good as their encounter in WM19 but it was one of the matches of the night for me. They both work so well together, it's hard to believe that they have (or had) any animosity for each other behind the curtain.
