Love the fact Leicester are down. Housemate can't have a go at me for Mansfield going down, all i need now is for Exeter to not go up and i can rest easy.

Couldn't Wenger tell Flamini him and/or his agent at the end of last season (day after the last game) you have from the start of the pre-season to make up his mind if he is going to stay or not. And if he doesn't like the fact he has over a month to make up his mind, well too bad.

Lehmann reminds me a lot about Harbhajan Singh, in how much of a **** they both can be.

Well, if they give him a month to decide, and he decides to go, he's lost valuable training time with his new teammates, and Arsenal have wasted half the summer before looking for a replacement.

Signing a 144k per week deal! I love the guy but wow, his agent needs a pay rise for getting Berlusconi to cough out that much.
Thats the multi multi millionaire and Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi, a guy who's got pockets as deep as the state (though usually he just mixes them together)

Well yeah we all know about Berlusconi and his ethical standards when it comes to business.

Apparently Arsenal were offering Flamini 55k per week before tax but Berlusconi offered him 144k with no tax. Didn't know he could do that in a democratic country.

Haha, see my post above then call it a democratic country ;)

Nah, kidding, what it'll be is he'll be in something like 200k a week, 144k after tax (dunno what the actual maths is, as i dont know italian tax rate, that'd work for 28% tax though). If it is 144,000 a week, i'm guessing its Euro's not pounds, as thats absolutely staggering amount, even for a top player. Having said that, thats a fan's article figure, nothing solid.

Chavs keeping Manure honest at least. 2-0 up going into injury time.

Bruce's boys will just bend over to receive next Sunday tho. Won't be able to concede quickly enough.

Yep no chance what so ever of Wigan putting up a fight.

Perhaps Grant should be going to the media & questioning Bruce's commitment as Fergie did Liverpool's a few yeras back.

It was also nice of West Ham to return the favour to Man Utd from last season.

Doubt it tbh, Brucie and Wigan are professionals, and certain individuals may be looking to impress the United management.

Loved it when Bruce went mad after Scholes scored against Barcelona though.

Thought Newcastle put up a decent fight tbh, had Owen taken his two very good chances (also had another half chance) they'd have gotten at least a draw. Had they gone 1-0 up instead of Terry clearing it off the line, it may have been a different game altogether.
