*Official* English Football Season 2007-08

Shaggy Alfresco

State Captain
Best Division Since I support a Premeirship club, it has to be the Premiership since that is what I watch. La Liga is probably better to watch, and the Championship may be more exciting, but I can't judge what I haven't seen.

Best Manager - Alex Ferguson, on the verge of a European double and arguably the best manager the game has ever seen.

Worst ***** - Chelsea fans booing Avram Grant and chanting "Mourinho" while 1-0 down against Woolwich.

Best Moment of the Season -Seeing Ledley King upon winning the League Cup.

Excuse of the season Goon Brumby went for Martin Taylor's excuse, I'll have to go for Arse fans saying they would have won the league were it not for Eduardo's untimely death.

Interview of the Season - Avram Grant's monosyllabic interview a few weeks ago.

I'm not Turkish, but you can tell I'm delighted - League Cup Final, what else?

Unfortunate - Martin Jol leaving. Absolute legend.

**** of the season - William Gallas. Honourable mentions for Pascal Chimbonda and Ashley Cole.

Young Gareth Barry, he's young award - Freddie Sears.

Best Division Sticking with what i know with the Prem, all the championship games i've seen have been pretty shocking, backing the 3 who come up to go straight back down

Best Manager - Can it go to anyone bar Fergie this year? Potentially a nice double on. Kudos to Sven for turning City round with some utter inspired signings, and we all thought he was doing sweet FA with the sweet FA's big pay off

Worst ***** - Agreeing with SA here, Arse fans claiming they've lost the league because someone injured Eduardo..... No, its because you cant keep any other players fit, Van Persie and Rosisky were both problems caused by your own physio team. That and the fact you cant try and go through a season with 3 strikers unless you've got a very, very good Portuguese winger to fill in for your perennially crocked Froggie.

Best Moment of the Season - Ask me at the end of the month, i hope.......

Excuse of the season Quieroz has come out with some classics this season. The guys entertaining, hope he never takes over from Fergie. However he's beaten by pretty much anything Fat Sam's said regarding the fact he was utter toss for Newcastle

Interview of the Season - CAnt say i ever bother with them. Err, footballers like, err, y'know, err, cant y'know, string a co.coh. full sentance to err together. Or managers blaiming everyone else for them being ****. O'neil's always a decent one to listen to, one of the few.

I'm not Turkish, but you can tell I'm delighted - Seeing the neveller return, and Scholes's strike on Tuesday, beautiful goal from a true legend to set up the greatest night of his life

Unfortunate - Potentially Sven being sacked. Oh, that and Chelsea losing the League Cup Final.

**** of the season - Oh Cashley, can stick is £100,000 a week up his rectum. Or could buy a new mobile, and stick that there too. Jens Lehman losing out this year through lack of first team action. Savage losing out by playing for Derby.

Young Gareth Barry, he's young award - That Ashley Youngs got a big future before him (or already has between his legs, if you believe a woman with a webcam)

International Coach
Haha, thought you got a medal for headbutting Lucas Neill?
Yes, I was also under this impression, still a stupid thing to do however.

Only need to win one final game to be champions of England, will take that, would be nice if the Geordies can do us a favour anyway however.

They say that every year yet it has only ever happened once, 97-98 FTR

Dunno, I've enjoyed Championship games I've watched. Tend to be able to predict the winners more easily in the Prem. Quality of the play isn't a big factor for me though, having grown up with the lower leagues :)

It's not so much the standard of football as the type. Ipswich look like they're missing out on the play-offs, but they do at least try to play some decent stuff. On the other hand Stoke's main tactic seems to be Rory Delap chucking a long throws into the box & Watford's, whether defending or attacking, is to get Danny ****tu in the way of the ball.

Could see Brom staying up if they hold onto Gera, and strengthen in areas (up front especially). Sure as hell got the best chance of any to stay in the top flight, depends how the Premiership dross strenghten over the summer (Fulham, Wigan and Brum, if they all survive). Reckon they might put in a valient fight, and go down to the final day, but cant see any of the others surviving.

If Bristol City go up, especially as it looks like it'll be through the playoffs, they'll just get smashed.

Southampton in the **** as things stand, just gone one down, could well replace Forest as the third tier's second "we think we're a Premiership club even though we now play at Hartlepool and Hereford" club. I say second, that's me hoping Leeds get ****ed over in the play-offs.

Wouldn't mind seeing Leicester or Sheff Wed come down in there place tbh, well except that Leicester have the mighty Iain Hume whom I adore and I've already done Hillsborough in the league (and won), never played Southampton in the league I don't think, in my time watching that is.

Half an hour to go, WBA & Stoke up, Hull-Watford and Brizzle-Palace in the play-offs, Leicester visiting PP next season

Hell of a game this Stoke-Leicester clash. Truly representative of the most entertaining division in English football  :p

Palace's form under Warnock reminds me of when they went up under Dowie, they're my tip for the play-offs, pointing out in many ways everything that is wrong and right with the play-off system. Right in that a team who are struggling in the winter still have a chance of success, wrong in that Watford, Hull and Bristol City have all challenged for automatic promotion and yet Palace could end up pipping them all to promotion

Love these last day battles. Prem promises to be just as good next week actualy, though not as good as it could have been (**** Bolton)

Lovely header from Lee to put Town 1-0 up versus City, Hull. Need Blackpool to turn the Hornets over still tho.

The Arse finish our home season with a 1-0 win, fittingly.

Aye, I think that means the race for 5th goes to the wire doesn't it?
