CW Battrick Cup, season nine

Bobisback

International Regular
Was just reading through my commentary didnt realise that Stonebridge did so much work, the last 20 overs the hit 170 odd runs, it took him 25 balls to go from 50 to 100. So gun.

Hope Jamee wins so I can exact revenge for last season's farce.

Should beat nibbs, just need to get past his top order.

Happy with the way my bowlers have slowed things down. Run rate down to 4.80 after being up at 6. Will lose, but it's been a good effort so far.

Chinnery (5 overs for 17) and Lock (5 overs for 23) slowed things down nicely in overs 30-40. Especially seeing as Lock had gone for 44 in his first 5

Hopefully my best two bowlers can bowl a good last 10, but there's plenty of batting left.

1.2 W Canning to Warnock
Plumb, line and sinker. You won't see an easier decision today!

A lesser man would be tired after just making an unbeaten century.

Edit: And again

Code:
End of Over 6: 21-3, runrate=3.50, reqrunrate=3.91 (192-10)
Canning	3-1-7-3
Kealey*	9 (9 balls)
Bunce	0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Clements lbw b. Canning 0 (FOW: 21/3)
5.6 .	Canning to Bunce
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Pity we can't find something poetic to say about the action.
5.5 W	Canning to Clements
Oh that's hit him plumb. Terry and Canning are straight into the appeal and the slip cordon join in. The umpire's taking his time. And he lifts his finger! That's out!
5.4 W	Canning to Snodin
Bye bye, middle stump. Bye bye, leg stump. We may not see either of you for a while the way you've just been ripped from the ground and scattered across the pitch.

BARNES OUT
Got to love when crap tailenders hang around score runs and make you lose games you should never lose in million years. ;)
Had nothing to do with his tailenders. Was Stonebridge and Brinkhuys. Fair knock by a defensive batsman on a slow pitch. As enraged as I am about it all, I wouldn't change it. Adds to the legend of the FP vs. CD clashes.

Stevens 4-1-11-1

Last Wicket: Lay b. Stevens 2 (FOW: 2/1)

Looks like my last part in this year's competition. :(

Watts 1-0-15-0
Nkosinathi* 76 (63 balls)
Greene 39 (56 balls)

Reckon this could be as close as I get...want it recorded for posterity!

Mind you, Watts shouldn't do too much damage. Might have a good 10 overs or so in me yet.

This is better...

Ahead on run-rate. Where the hell is the torrential downpour?

Hutchinson 20 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Greene c. King b. Lebohang 47 (FOW: 133/3)

This dream period will come to an end...these are the last two recognised bats. 107 to get...7 wickets in hand. It'll all come apart when Watts finishes his 10. Lebohang looked like getting Hutchinson up until the last over too.

Was pretty concerned after being 6/59, but Hurren hung around with Canning to get us up towards 200, and then Canning's first 5 overs put us ahead from the start. Disappointed Canning couldn't go the 100/5 wickets double though.

Watts 6-0-54-0
Howard* 9 (8 balls)
Nkosinathi 100 (95 balls)

Last Wicket: Hutchinson b. Shafilshuna 28 (FOW: 174/4)

Soldiering on. Watts went off for 2 overs and came back on so there's runs from his end for 4 more overs. Howard could go this over though, Shafilshuna's been bowling well.

End of Over 40: 212-5, runrate=5.30, reqrunrate=5.90 (270-8)

Nkosinathi* 113 (107 balls)
Wotton 3 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Howard c. Edgehill b. Watts 12 (FOW: 205/5)

59 needed off 10, 5 wickets in hand. We're gone, unless Nkosinathi can completely farm the strike, as there're two good bowlers coming back on. One now, and one in 2 overs. Hopefully we can get two good overs from Watts to make ourselves look better. It's been nice getting over 200 anyway.

Edit: Watts off now and good bowlers on. It'd be interesting if we could make it to Watts last 2 overs scoring at a decent rate. Won't happen.
