Best Division - Premiership, actually. The Chmpionship has been close, but you really wouldn't want to watch too many of the games played. Most of the teams likely to go up (West Brom, Stoke & Watford in particular) play route one, dog **** football. The Prem meanwhile has (inevitably) finsihed with the same top four & the same top two (although The Arsenal looked to have made a leap forward until we ran out of players), but the race will go the wire & there's potentially still 7 who can go down with two games left. & all right-thinking people hope it'll be Brum & The Wankers.
Best Manager- Paul Ince. Yeah, I know he's in charge of an evil, soulless franchise, but he's won the double (Div 4 & wahtever the Associate Members' Cup calls itself nowadays) and they've played decent football to do it.
Worst ***** - T*ttenham, as ever. Sacked the bloke who'd led them to consecutive fifth places after Levy spent the summer flashing his knickers at any eligible European manager & then came on like Billy Big Biscuits when they knocked our youth team out in the semi of the League "****ing" Cup.
Best Moment of the Season - It's tempting to play the parochial card here, but really it's probably
Barnsley's cup run, in particular them beating yer Scousers & the Chavs en route to the semis, where the spoilsport Welsh ****s hadn't read the script.
Excuse of the season- "Martin is distraught, it's not in his nature to commit a malicious tackle. He didn't feel there was much contact." Oh, well that's ok then, Alex. As long as his shin-high, studs-raised one-footed lunges aren't malicious...
Interview of the Season- Slaven Bilic's "we beat you because we're better than you". Fair point; well made.
I'm not Turkish, but you can tell I'm delighted - Has to be Arsenal winning 2-0 in Milan. Performance of the season.
Unfortunate - That Arsenal can't ****ing defend leads anymore.
**** of the season- Cashley. Biggest stroker in football? Oh, yes.
Young Gareth Barry, he's young award- Michael Johnson at Citeh. Liverpool "watching his progress", reportedly. He's got some engine, the boy. Frazier Campbell at Hull has been good too, but loses points for being on loan from ManUre.
