Ignoring that if Rooney had been sent off we'd have been down to ten, and thus would quite likely not have had the pressure we had in the second half.

WRT Rooney's penalty, I have seen a replay of it since, very slight contact, nowhere near enough to warrant a penalty IMO.
That would only be a red if the ref was really harsh.

Yes it was. After everything of that play was complete should it have been a penalty? Of course not. Initial contact the defender took out his left leg and fell slightly, tried to get up then fell. If he'd fell at the initial contact, it'd have been a penalty.

It was almost a waist high tackle.

If Rooney had fallen at the initial contact, it would have been a dive. Rooney dives a fair amount, in fact more than Ronaldo IMO, however he gets away with it somewhat because he's English. Same story with Gerrard.

Definite yellow. Possible red.

NO what he did after was a dive. And define fair amount. Only seen something that could be classed a dive from him a couple times this season. If anything they're just exaggerations or him going down easily.

Well Rooney getting called for a foul when he was kicked in his groin/hip, the Emerton handball and pretty sure there are more. Not blinkered at all. Rooney should have not tried to get up in the first place because what he did after was simulation.

Yes, Portsmouth lost! Elano playing at right-back was funny.

Now we don't have to worry about them breathing down our necks.

Didn't that Michael Boulding bloke score a hattrick?
Gunnest gun in the west, formed a deadly partnership with Bradley Allen at the Mariners that kept us up in the Championship (as is now) five years ago.
Such a ****ing legend. Saw him score when i went to the Wrexham game too. Sod these Man Utd fans with their 'lolz Tevez is ugly', bring back the sheer cult fandom that only exists in the lower leagues. Muggleton!

Can anybody photoshop Ronaldinho in a Man City jersey? If you can, thanks because it will be so funny as they one of the four clubs that want to buy him. He will be in Milan (either Inter or AC) IMO, but I just want to see what he could look like a Citeh jersey.

Didn't see too much of the 'dive' by Rooney on this occasion (I thought he just tried to get up and either slipped or got his foot knocked accidentally) but I definitely agree he does it more than Ronaldo. I also thought he was going to get sent off when he made his flying waist-high tackle.

Gutted we don't get the chance to have Chelsea form a guard of honour for us, though at least we'll be able to celebrate at Old Trafford should we officially win in the game afterwards.

Yup. Although I really don't want it to come to that - life will be made much, much easier by at least getting a draw at the Bridge. But I've been hoping Chelsea don't lose at the Bridge all season so far because I want United to be the one to end the record. :D

Are there any bearded footballers in the Premier League? Don't count goatees. We need a bearded top-level footballer. He will be a man amongst boys. And if not the PL, maybe the Championship? Or are they all pretty-boys too?

Olof Mellberg was a bearded wonder last time I saw a picture of him. Although, that was ages ago. David James rocks one from time to time as well, but not a full one. Just that 'couldn't be arsed to shave' look.
