Bah. United's goal difference is as good as a goal, so even a Chelsea win won't be enough now.

Kept it slightly interesting at least tho.

Pity, would of been sweet to possibly win the title against Chelsea like they did to use 2 years back (iirc). Still fully agree with Halsey massive point.

Referee was a shocker, Didnt see the penalty incident in the first half clearly, as i was working, or the one in the 2nd really.TBH, utterly surprised Rooney didnt get sent off for that hack though.

Brad Friedel = ****. ALWAYS pulls out the stops against us.

Tom Halsey

International Coach
Tbf I find that Friedel usually pulls out the stops against most sides - massively under rated IMO.

Referee was poor, though his poor decisions evened out IMO, neither side has a right to feel aggrieved.

Nah. Utd definitely got more bad decisions. Not usually one for telling off the ref but today......
Blinkered IMO, Rooney was a definite red IMO, United had more individual decisions go against us possibly, but nothing of such importance - none of the penalty claims were penalties.

Dunno, First was a foul, though Rooney made a meal of it and then some

Emertons was a blatent hand ball n all

International Coach
Hand ball I'd forgotten actually, that was a penalty, agreed.

Didn't think Rooney's was anything like a foul tbh, full blown dive for mine.

International Coach
Nah, caught him, just took Rooney 3 or 4 seconds to Dive.

Waiting to see Hleb's slap again there, missed it. Same old Arsenal...... ;)

Well Rooney getting called for a foul when he was kicked in his groin/hip, the Emerton handball and pretty sure there are more. Not blinkered at all. Rooney should have not tried to get up in the first place because what he did after was simulation.

Ignoring that if Rooney had been sent off we'd have been down to ten, and thus would quite likely not have had the pressure we had in the second half.

WRT Rooney's penalty, I have seen a replay of it since, very slight contact, nowhere near enough to warrant a penalty IMO.
