What a bunch of sulky managers we have. Bring back Jose!

EDIT: Did SAF every do a sulky interview? I mean, I know he cancelled some but were there any classic interviews a la Rafa training and coaching his team or this kind of thing with Grant? I've not followed him for longer than about the last four years. Also, has any manager ever done "better" than Rafa? :p

Oh no he's a blessed, cheery chap. Of course he doesn't talk to anyone who doesn't go along with Manure pravda. Yet surely that's not sulking, one of them is only a small thing, British Broadcasting Co-operation, I've not heard of it, either.

Of course all those rants at officials, before and after matches, are just constructive criticism. In no way trying to intimidate in a mean-minded, aggressive manner.

Yes he truly is a cheery soul.

BTW, Jose was quite prone to sulking, just a tad, as well.

Remember in the Tranmere programme there used to be a bloke who wrote a column about the Nationwide (as it was back then).

One time, early in Bruce's managerial career (he was at Sheff U I think), I remember reading:

It's great to see that Steve Bruce learnt so much from Alex Ferguson. The headline in last week's paper, "BRUCE BLAMES REF FOR DEFEAT"

Yeah, I know about the ones where they don't talk at all but that's not interesting. I also know about the ranting and raving at refs and the like, but that's not interesting either. The ones where they come to a conference (which is where you go to speak about things) and then don't speak about things... that's the stuff I find interesting. :p

Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown (haha you will be stuck with him forever) and Michael Carrick all sign new contracts. Why would United need to offer Carrick a new contract considering he is only in his second season I don't know.

Carrick was running out in 2009.

Hope Brown will soon be surplus to requirements, I think the two players we need in the summer are a goal-poacher and a right back (and possibly a left winger). Would be nice to have a high class right back, as Brown, while he's been okay this season, isn't that, and Nev is getting on.

Probably won't be a rightback coming in then now that Brown has signed. Unless Ferguson thinks Simpson isn't up to it yet.

I do remember an high quality rant from Sir Alex during the 2002 season when his wisdom in signing JS Veron was being questioned by the meeja. More expletive-laden than sulky, tbf, but highly amusing all the same. He alleged "He's a ****ing great player", a comment made all the more delicious by United punting him to the newly minted Chavs at a loss of about £13million a year later.

Did quick search on Google, but can't find link.

Something along the lines of "He's a ****ing great player, and you'se are ****ing idiots" IIRC.

EDIT: It's on his Wikiquote: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Alex_Ferguson

"On you go. I’m no ****ing talking to you. He’s a ****ing great player. Yous are ****ing idiots."
Sir Alex Ferguson speaking to the media about Juan Sebastian Verón

Ahh, see how more relaxed I am now england haven't qualified for that Euro-thingy.

Wayne Rooney hobbles a bit and I'm laughing, if we were in the stupid comp, I'd be crying.

Hoping for a metatarsal, tbh:)

BTW, was a dive, Alan Green you twonk.
