And it was a chance that he would take 9 times out of 10, just above waist height to his right, no need to dive. Not many worse batsmen to drop on 0 in the whole of County cricket.

Fair play to Stevens, taking all 3 of the Notts wickets to fall this morning to go some way to making up for his duck in the first innings. He's such a handy little player, would like to see him get England recognition this summer. He'd be ideal for the 20:20 side.

Simon Jones, their gamble signing from Glamorgan, pulled out before play with sore neck after bowling just three over’s yesterday evening.

“He’s just woke up with it this morning,” Steve Rhodes, director of cricket. “He wasn’t too bad, but it felt a bit awkward and when he tried to bowl it just locked up on him.”

Worcestershire are hoping it is a 24 hour lock, after struggling to push home their advantage...

Bad start to the season for us but hopefully Horton can go on today and make a big and the batting line up isn't too bad, especially given the likely nature of the oval track. Let's hope Surrey are as profligate as we were in the field, dropping hodge or law on 0 isn't the same as dropping ramps but it'd help

Been our downfall the last few years, drawing too many, and not bowling teams out.... Will happily take the draw from this one TBH
