It's a bit weird, but such is the Prem's pre-eminence now that three of the four semi-finalists being English for the second year on the bounce doesn't feel overly exceptional, more like a reflection of the natural order of things currently. To me at least, anyway.

Whether it's good for our national team is rather more debateable tho; despite the three Prem teams I'm willing to bet that English won't be the most represented nationality in terms of player numbers amongst the 44 who start the semis.

Isn't cpr from Manchester?

And both me and Pincheh support Citeh.

Apparantly i must be from Surrey, because i support Utd.

Not a bad game, dominated at the start, should've scored, they got the penalty against the run of play from a Van Der Saar 'Shakey Dave' moment (there creeping in too reg for my liking). Penalty missed, game died on its arse till old porno tache came back. Great cross by Hargreaves for the goal, and fine, fine header from Tevez

Barca didnt exactly look solid at the back against Schalke. Lookin forward to it. Like Aussie said, dont fancy the chances for the Home game against Barca, though ironically i could get official Utd section tickets for the away game at the drop of a hat (Moscow might be slightly harder, though thinking it'll cost too much anyway)

True, echoes of when England provided six winners in a row, full of Sweaties, Micks and Taffs.

Nou Camp will be far easier to get tickets for, by the sounds of things (and easier still if you're prepared to apply for home section tickets), however unfortunately I will have neither the spare time or the money by the time of the semis.

Barcelona are in chaos right now, with factionalism among the players and the staff rife. They were dire against Schalke last night, and that was at home. Man Utd should tear them apart.
That's what I'm telling myself, and I think we have a great chance, but I'm not certain.

I know Ferguson said in his post-match interview last night that he'd go and attack them at the Nou Camp, but he also said that before we travelled to Milan last year, and we certainly didn't attack there. Barcelona are in a mini-crisis at the moment, however they still have the individual talent to potentially tear us apart if we sit back. Even if we play the tie very cautiously, I'd be a slightly surprised if we keep a clean sheet in either leg. Having said that, I'd be surprised if Barcelona do, either.

Have been browsing a few United forums, and am surprised at the number of people (even for traditionally one-eyed club forums) treating the tie as if we're in the final already. We're not, and not knowing how we'll go and play in the Nou Camp, I think the tie is fairly 50/50.

If we go there and attack, we should be in for a hell of a semi-final, and hopefully a United victory.

Hmm Getafe v Bayern 2nd leg was some match... Two absolute belting blunders in it too which should find their way on YouTube (a guy slipping over when he's about to knock it into an open goal and a Vaughanesque clanger from the Getafe keeper)

Was @ the ground today to find out when tickets for the Barcelona visit are on sale & the lady told me on the 24th to only Season ticket holders & One United members none available on general sale unfortunately.

Can't miss that game son, since with crappy on NZ coming this summer & no Ashes test next season this could easily be the biggest sporting spectacle in the city for a while.

Oh & if you do get through make sure you go for the North stand becase well its the proper stand straight...

If i wanted, could get tickets for the Nou Camp but not OT because I should be, and my dad definately is, on the list for Euro away tickets because we've travelled with the club before. The demands never overly high so anyone who's been to an Euro away over the last 2 seasons shouldnt have a problem getting a ticket (dads been to 3 or 4 this year, same last year, so he'd easily enough get 2 tickets.... anyways his mates go to them all, so if needs for Moscow i could get a ticket through them being priority on the list). However not planning on going Barca due to the fact dad doesnt get back from Vegas untill the afternoon of the match!

Dont like the North stand personally, usually sat there when i get a spare ticket for the match, good view but the atmosphere isnt the greatest (that and the fact were sat back row of 2nd tier, though the security box is behind us, so we get good views of replays). Nothing beats the Stretford End for atmosphere, especially on a European night (was right behind the goal the night Forlan broke his duck for us. Crackin moment). Old Scoreboard end is usually alright n all. Never been in the family stand in my life.
