Bendtner really doesn't like his teammates does he? If he's not fighting with them, he's clearing certain goals from off the line.

The air chez Brumby was turned somewhat blue, it must be said. Kuyt got away with a blatant tug on Hleb in the box too, but think the Scousers did a job on us tbf.

Chavs losing tho, which is never not funny.

Didn't see much live soccer tonight, but from what I did see, Arsenal truly left it behind them (Bentner, the clear penalty and I'm told they missed at least one other sitter). Also lol at Chelsea result.

Still though, your arguments about his talent is pretty much wrong anyway. Agree with the second post but Pique has no bearing on Silvestre leaving or not. Evans is the player who plays the positions Silvestre plays.

Mikky wants to be a centre back, has always insisted that (even though i thought him far better at LB). So Pique is his challenger, and Evans. Pique can cover LB at a push, but tbh, so can Giggs. Not ideal, but a possibility if the turd hits the fan in a game. O'Shea's pretty much the back up LB anyway.

Wes is uninspiring at centre back. Can do the job, no better than any other average prem defender. Lacks at right back due to inability attacking down the flank (something Richards needs to sort if he wants to make that his own position for England)

Reminds me that I have some pics from the Arsenal 4-0 drubbing to put in since Ribery's presence is no longer needed. Will have to wait till I reach home though in a couple hours.

Agreed that he's better at left back. Yeah Pique is a challenger but it's like this:

Neville Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Brown Pique Silvestre O'Shea

Evans would replace Silvestre.

Wes is uninspiring but dependable. Probably could have been better but I have no ill feelings if he's to replace Vidic against Boro in the centre. Would rather Pique though, to test him, give him matches and thus enable him to get the 10 appearances.

Wahey United, can't say I really expected that, would have been happy with a dour 1-1 or something tbh.

The Italian press have been going on about how Juve nearly signed Ronaldo in 2001... is there any club in Europe that hasn't nearly signed him?

WRT Brown/Tweety, they're both ****e, though I disagree with CPR, marginally I'd have Brown at RB, he can't quite reach the depths of direnes that Tweety can.

Listened to Liverpool v Le Arse on the radio last night, unfortunately it now looks as though it's advantage Dippers. Utter ****s.

I think it's going to be a Pool-United final. Which unfortunately will ban us from Europe for another 5 years after all the stabbings take place.

I found this on another forum

There's a place we know where Scousers go
and it's always lots of fun
you can have a laugh at many things
if you're ready with a pun

You can mock the dead of Munich
be glad that George Best's dead
you can sing a dozen funny songs
of Duncan Edward's head

You can hope that Gary Neville
gets cancer and he dies
throw ammonia at Whiteside
and hope it blinds his eyes

You can even stone an ambulance
where Alan Smith is lying
even if it doesn't overturn
it's bound to be fun trying

You can talk of many pleasant things
with your like-minded mates
but you'll pause to show such reverence
as you pass the Shankly Gates

Where every single Scouser
who ever passed away
must be honoured and respected
have their own special day

Cos Scousers are a special breed
their hearts upon their sleeve
they ask the country to join in
and watch them as they grieve

They celebrate and they respect
each Scouser who departs
they ask that we can shed their tears
and nurse their broken hearts

Yet mention dead of anyone
who doesn't fit their own
they laugh out loud there is no shred
of honour ever shown

They laugh at young men dying
on runways filled with ice
and celebrate that Munich day
and never would think twice

of mocking Harold Shipman's dead
that lived within our city
these wallowers in plastic grief
the masters of self pity

They wave their tin foil silverware
and throw cups filled with ****
to shower on opposing fans
but never will admit

the murder of their very own
their much loved Stanley knives
the night they killed Juventus fans
a tragic waste of lives

It's "justice for the 96"
but never 39
It's grieving for 'poor' Michael Shields
but not for Heysel dying

It's always everybody else
they're not the ones to blame
it was Chelsea, Yorkshire coppers
it's always been the same

We've all shed tears as 96
lay dying on the floor
but our sympathy has long since died
we'll grieve with you no more.
