Yea, but thats as lone striker. As i said if he had Tevez with him he would have scored. You've just utterly destroyed your own argument. Brilliant first touch, didn't finish it.

How do you justify that statement? Tevez wouldn't have controlled the ball for him...Yea, but thats as lone striker. As i said if he had Tevez with him he would have scored.
And I thought My Football Club buying Ebbsfleet was the nadir...Beeb said:A man bidding to buy Mansfield Town is planning to rename the club Harchester United after the former Sky series The Dream Team, the BBC has learnt.
Pretty bloody close tho, but.I checked the date, it's not April 1st.
Just smacks of a huge, crap, gimmick.
I see there is a lot of talk about Rio being given a chance at captaincy. TBH i don't really think the captaincy factor in football is as huge as cricket for example. Its not as if the captain in a match has much tactical decision to make on the pitch like cricket (i.e correct bowling changes or setting fields) the manager does it. He just needs to be an inspiration figure on the field i.e commanding defender/playmaker/striker.
But with our players still not being able to translate club form on the international stage it doesn't bother me who captains England ATM. But when they do make that transition my captaincy options in order of preference would be Gerrard/Terry/Rio (getting Man U's captaincy whenever Giggs decide to could would help though).
Only saw brief highlights of the game, so really couldn't judge much but i like the look of the formation Capello tried in the first-half, Hargreaves & Barry sitting infront of defense (the only two mid-fielders since the WC to show form on the international stage), giving Gerrard his free role as he doing @ Liverpool & trying to get Rooney adapted to the lone striker role.
Only problem with that side was on the right-wing Brown/Beckham no way Richards & Bentley/Agbonlahor would have been perfect. Brown got a thrasing in the media though hopefully he will just be stuck with United from now on only options @ RB behind Richards should be Johnson & Onhua. Becks lack of pace would be cruelly exposed if he doesn't have a quality full-back to overlap him.
Bit of education for any Man Utd fan who doesn't know.
