Aloisi, Colosimo, Bridge. Bridge is the best signing out of all three and cheapest, gun. Looking forward to the trio of Aloisi, Bridge and Brosque. We going to have no depth, but hopefully we get the cream of crop from NSW of U20s.

Socceroos squad v China

Michael Beauchamp, Mark Bresciano, Jacob Burns, Tim Cahill, Nick Carle, David Carney, Jason Culina, Brett Emerton, Adam Federici, Vincenzo Grella, Brett Holman, Josh Kennedy, Harry Kewell, Patrick Kisnorbo, Scott McDonald, Lucas Neill, Mark Schwarzer, Mile Sterjovski, James Troisi, Carl Valeri, Luke Wilkshire

All European based squad, with the A-League off season seemingly having a major impact on selections. I doubt Troisi or Federici would have made the squad otherwise. Still reckon Covic and Thompson are ahead of both.

Talk is though Kewell and Cahill might miss the match due to injuries and lack of match fitness. But Kewell wants to play in Singapore match.

singapore game is full of a league players isnt it? Heard Tando and Nikita are in the mix from Glory LOL
Yeah, below the full squad plus Kewell, who has been given a release overnight by Rafa for Singapore. Basically means the end to his time at Liverpool, hopefully he goes to Spain or Italy. The squad for Singapore is basically an U23 squad, plus a couple older standby players for the China squad. Pretty much an U23 friendly.

Nigel Boogard (Central Coast Mariners), Mark Bridge (Sydney FC) Leigh Broxham (Melbourne Victory), Nathan Burns (Adelaide United), Billy Celeski (Melbourne Victory), Ante Covic (Newcastle Jets), Bruce Djite (Adelaide United), Tarek Elrich (Newcastle Jets), Adam Griffiths (Newcastle Jets), James Holland (Newcastle Jets), Mile Jedinak (Central Coast Mariners), Jade North (Newcastle Jets), Nikita Rukavytsya (Perth Glory), Archie Thompson (Melbourne Victory), Nikolai Topor-Stanley (Perth Glory), Tando Velaphi (Perth Glory), Ruben Zadkovich (TBC), Michael Zullo (Queensland Roar).

Will be interesting to see the side Pim puts out against Singapore. You reckon he would give the guys who are close to starting against China or making the squad a shot first. Then bring on the youngsters later in the match.

Reckon the side might be something like this:

Covic
North-Beauchamp-A Griffith
Troisi-Bridge-Burns-R Griffith
Thompson-Djite-Kewell

ash chaulk

International Captain
would expect to see topor-stanley in the game made it to the last round of cuts against oman? crap forget who we played.

A toss up between him, Burns and Leijer for last spot in the side. But with Ryan Griffiths back, they will probably go with him down the left hand side and give Burns a run behind the forwards. Griffiths was injuried when we played Qatar, so that was one of main reasons why he made the last squad.

0-0 at half, pretty dominat so far, but just can't find the back of the net. Troisi looks pretty gun so far. Hopefully Burns and Djite come on soon.

Pretty dire performance. 0-0 at full time. Some decent performances by a few guys, but overall as team pretty average. Looks like we can't even win the next Tiger Cup, without a full strength squad. So much depth and talent coming through.

Socceroos squad to face China:
Michael Beauchamp, Mark Bresciano, Mark Bridge, David Carney, Ante Covic, Jason Culina, Bruce Djite, Vince Grella, Adam Griffiths, Brett Holman, Mile Jedinak, Harry Kewell, Patrick Kisnorbo, Lucas Neill, Jade North, Mark Schwarzer, Archie Thompson, Nikolai Topor-Stanley, Carl Valeri, Luke Wilkshire.

Players Out: Cahill, Emerton, Sterjovski, MacDonald, Burns, Federici, Milligan
Overlooked: Troisi, Carle, Aloisi

Will be a massive test for our depth here. MacDonald just pulled out and no replacment named yet. Kind of hoping Dukes or Aloisi get a SOS. Not sure if you can rely on Holman and Thompson up front in a big match like this.

Surprised Troisi was over overlooked considering he would be perfect replacement for Emerton and Sterjovski down the right hand side. Looks like Pim has marked him as left side player. Same with Carle, as I haven't heard any reports of him bring injuried.

Likely side:

Schwarzer
Wilkshire, Neill, Beauchamp, Carney
Valeri, Grella,
Culina, Bresciano, Kewell
Thompson, Holman

Still potentially a decent side, but next to nothing off the bench with International experience or class.
