**Official** England in New Zealand

I guess it depends how well we go second innings. Theoretically we could concede up to about 120/130 & then score 400+ to give NZ a tricky chase for 300 over a day or a day & a session.

This is clearly best case scenario, mind. :p

If the pitch stays flat then it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Though best case sounds about right LOL

Assuming our tail doesn't bat all day that is :p
True. I'm guessing that an average end-of-Day 2 scenario (our final 3 wickets last for about 30 minutes and we don't bowl like complete idiots) has NZ level with us, so a session and a half on Day 3 has them about 150 ahead: iow what Woodster said.

otoh Broad could go 1st ball, we'll fold in about 10 minutes and they'll end up 50 runs ahead of us by the end of the day..

ffs. When was the last time England actually exceeded our expectations instead of bombing off in the other direction? And why do we devote so much of our time following such a half-hearted underachieving bunch of ****ers?

Monty gone. Reckon the NZ batting lineup will fail, as much as I hope Fleming will get a very large hundred, so the match isn't over by a long way for mine.

Nice bloke, that Sidebottom. Good to see there's still some element of good sportsmanship in international cricket.
