Test record, as the above poster can testify as it was made by his great-great-great-grandad or sumate, remains from the 1st Test ever, made by Charles Bannerman with 165*.Impressive stuff. I'm not sure what the test record for a completed innings is but I recall Glenn Turner getting something like 143 out of 169 in a county game in England
EDIT: said Turner game was this one, methinks. frankly. That's 83.43195266272189349112426035503%!
And while looking at Turner, it occurred to me how astoundingly well he did against the Universities! Deduct them and his First-Class average will go down a little. Funny, there also seem to be quite a few games where he scored against joke-bowling too.
