And yet, pretty close to that Test was the Test at Calcutta where the crowd rioted and the match had to be completed in an empty stadium.
the point to consider is that whether the crowd showed anger at the Ind team or the opposition

if the crowd showed its anger towards the Ind team then your lame imagination abt avg Ind fans being shallow by booing opposition players get thrown out of the window

Um, no. There are a lot of racist people, and most of them don't go around lynching, or in most cases, even denying jobs.
Denying jobs and services is quite a common sign of racism.

Surely if Harbhajan is a racist SOB, there must be some traces of subtler, and fairly common, behavior, such as:
- tipping one bellboy but not another who is black or oriiental or whatever
- yelling at housekeepers of certain type not to enter his hotel room or touch his stuff
- refuse to sit in a certain section of restaurant or ask for a different person to assist him in
a retail store.
- not sign autographs of people of a certain race
- Press statements, emails with insinuations of racism (heck, even the Hayden-style mocking of others on talk shows can count towards this)
- Even actual physical violence towards anybody, without even a racism angle (like Symonds flooring the streaker)

That list should sufficiently lower the bar. This forum is not a court of law, so even reasonably founded allegations can be taken as fact (unless it is the testimony of Symonds and Hayden at Sydney, because that was investigated by a judge and found inconclusive)
Otherwise, at best, either Harbhajan is only thinking racist thoughts or others are thinking that Harbhajan has racist thoughts.

Whatever it takes!!!
Because there aren't many black people in those small towns.

Um, that's because you aren't black, so in this case, it is really irrelevant which insult you find most demeaning.
I am talking about Indians... There are a number of darker complexioned guys as well as guys with fairer complexion. They don't mind when they are called "kaala" or "gora"...

And no, I m not black, but I m brown... And being called anything is still "racist", in case you haven't noticed... And yes, the main point here is that India doesn't have the sensitivities attached to racism that you find in many other countries in the West and in Australia because we don't have THAT kind of a racist history. Thank you for backing up my point on that...

u seem to think that juz because one person is a hot head, he HAS to be a racist.......

Given that, I do think it is a bit rich of you to comment on that.
No one said he has to be racist. I think this guy specifically is racist, and his past outbursts show that he is capable of saying idiotic things. I already said the evidence against him is not enough to hold up in a court of law.

Someone still has to explain to me why its a bad thing to boo a professional sportsman. I got o Eagles and Phillies games all the time, and I don't feel any less of a fan for booing the hell out of McNabb when he does makes his usual pass into the ground throw.
Its wrong to boo anyone...............unless they happen to be saying something in a public forum that you disagree with or you are sitting in Parliament.

Public behaviour at sporting events is getting worse as the years go by. And it all starts with booing. From there on its a slippery slope.

If booing is such an acceptable concept for you then why not include it in daily life........you dont like what your wife made you for dinner.........boo her............see what happens next. Your children don't like your parenting..........let them boo you.

I dont buy the philosophy that you paid to see a match therefore you have a right to boo.......this is a cricket match not a gladiatorial arena. I feel that we have progressed since Roman times.

But enough to hold up in YOUR court of law...........sounds like prejudice to me.

Poor generalisation there.

Courts have to meet a higher standard with regards to proof. Unfortunately, some cases you see dismissed for lack of proof where common sense would pretty much hand you the answer. Pretty sure that is what Manan was implying, I could be wrong.

Why poor generalisation..........I fail to see what evidence SS seems to have against Harbhajan that we dont seem to be privy to?.........if its just the words of Australian players against Tendulkar.....then its a matter of he said/she said............which is no evidence at all.........even Symonds admits that there is a possibility that he may have not said "monkey".............if in spite of that you hold him as a 'Racist SOB'...........then its prejudice.

I am not saying that Harbhajan is not an irritating idiot...........but to label him as a racist is harsh.

completely agree with that! Evidence against harbhajan has not been found....so calling him racist is most definitely harsh!

If this is true, then Hayden should sue this "irritating idiot" into the next stratosphere.

Academics generally regard racism as something perpetrated by those with lower intelligence (there are exceptions obviously)

Harby has just confirmed his lack of any brain-power whatsoever
WHY??? What has Bhajji said wrong here mate? he has just said what he thinks abt the asutralian players....but NOT in a such a rude way....his words must have been sensibly chosen....its better than calling gilly an obnoxious weed etc etc...theres nothing wrong in what has been said here....no-one can sue for for anything!! Maybe, it can be argued that he shud nt say too much now as the tour is over etc...but he is just expressing hs grudge against the australian players....something the australian players do quite regularly...fully support bhajji here!
