haha fair enough, I imagine pretty much most of what you said is right, what I wondered about happening...was if whoever won the money in the bank cashed it in later in the night.....could happen methinks...

Agree about the big show mayweather angle, waste of time, laughed at mayweather nearly botching his lines whilst trying to cut a promo on RAW last week, though the punches he gave big show looked pretty real when you saw them in slow motion. But to use show up in a match like this is a waste of time and an abvious attempt to just drag as many people in to watch the event as possible. It seems big show often gets lumbered with stuff like this, remember the sumo match at WM21 anybody?

what seems to have dissapeared is the Santino Marrella and Carlito challenge for the tag titles....I remember a few RAWs ago they came out and said they would face Rhodes and Holly at NWO, but that just didnt happen....
I'd love someone to cash in MITB the same night, and it'll happen eventually, but I just can't see Jeff walking out of WM24 as champ. It'd be awesome though.

And I'd expect they're still running with the Carlito/Santino tag team, they had a match on Raw last night - I'd expect they'll take the belts at Backlash probably.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. What allows me to take the business seriously despite the ridiculous lengths that Creative are willing to go to to get people interested is that if the performers themselves weren't okay with it, they wouldn't do it. The entire Guerrero family okayed the Eddie's death angle, and every angle is run by the guys involved before they get thrown into it.
thats very true, were that not the case we wouldnt be subjected to such acts as Eugene, Hornswoggle, Zack Gowan and Cryme Tyme, for they are all potentially extremely offensive to certain groups of people lol. La Resistance is another such stable that springs to mind. All of these guys/stables are all pretty un-pc, I mean we used to see Zack Gowan get the crap beat out of him by Lesnar week in week out, purely because he only had one leg. Hornswoggle being a dwarf (or whatever the pc term is) and being beaten up and ridiculed all the time is also very offensive. Eugene was just a terrible idea in the first place, whoever thought of that should have been fired. Cyrme Tyme whilst amusing was also another offensive gimmick..."black guys who steal stuff...." yes.... a satire perhaps? doubt it.

yeah probably, its kind of stupid that after they begged carlito not to quit he is still now being wasted doing nothing on the RAW roster, would be good move for him to go to Smackdown and allign himself with MVP or Edge, speaking of which I havent seen a lot of MVP recently...about time he had a meaningful feud for the US title, which he will lose at WM presumably, about time Matt Hardy won a singles title.

Ah, I forgot about MVP vs Hardy. Definitely gonna happen at WM to finally end their feud. Probably in a gimmick match of some sort, 2 out of 3 Falls maybe. I'll be glad when MVP loses his US title and can move on to the WHC scene, seeing as he's awesome. He and Kennedy are gonna have an incredible feud one day.

yeah sure are, problem is with having so many titles is that like MVP, you get guys holding them for ages and never defending them in anything meaningful. Noticed the other day that the IC title has not been defended at Wrestlemania since WM18 IIRC, which is a shame.

Yeah, instead of having Jeff mince about for three months leading up to Survivor Series last year, I really wish they'd actually instigated an IC title feud between him and Kennedy. The two had some great matches and it would have at least provided some interest.

alas, such is the way with the wwe at the moment, the fact that there is such a small cruiserweight division it seems that the cruiserweight title has now been scrapped, as its been vacant for nearly a year now... I'm really not liking the way PPVs come around so quickly nowadays, I can see why they feel the need to have joint brand PPVs, as the quality of matches on the whole will be better, but the quality of the feud deteriorates massively..A great thing about wrestlemania in years gone by was the fact that the feuds really escalated and built up over periods of time, now we get them smashed together in 4-3 weeks with people having to jump around and appear on all the shows so to get maximum exposure, which is a shame. If the roster is going to randomly appear on any show the brand divide is really pointless, especially seeing as the only decent people left on ECW are Shelton, Punk and Chavo....which is a shame, as although it was always a joke, when it first came back it was still reasonable, the fact that Dreamer seems to be on the verge of joining TNA means that the last remaining scrap of ECW is going, and so it really is pointless keeping it, may as well rebrand it as the new velocity or heat or whatever.

Where did you hear that about Dreamer? It's news to me, although it's not the least bit surprising.

I do agree that one PPV a month is a bit too much. What I'd like to see is about eight per year, that way they wouldn't have to rush things:

Royal Rumble (late January)
WrestleMania (late March)
Backlash (early May)
Judgement Day (mid June)
Vengeance (mid July)
SummerSlam (late August)
No Mercy (early October)
Survivor Series (mid November)
Armaggedon (late December)

There's absolutely no need for a PPV in the leadup to WrestleMania IMO. Titles very rarely change hands, they'd be better off just building up angles on TV.

agreed there, though rather than vengeance I would like to see a return of King of the Ring, that was always a good PPV, much better than bad blood and vengeance and those that followed it imo.

But yeah No Way Out has always been a fairly iffy PPV for mine, as you say very little of any note happens, why on earth they had to have 2 elmination chambers this year is anyones guess. Not a fan of this winner of the rumble cashing his chance in whenever he likes either, defeats the point entirely.

Dreamer info is only rumours, as he has been seen at several TNA events and rumour is he is through with WWE so this would be the logical step...wouldnt be at all surprised

But much as I try i can't get into TNA, this shark boy doing stone cold impressions all the time just gets on my nerves and like you, i dont like the way it is booked at all.

Yeah, the Shark Boy thing is ridiculous, just a stupid idea. I don't think they understand that the vast majority of their fans don't actually hate WWE. Having some unknown with a ridiculous gimmick rip on one of the most popular wrestlers of all time is never gonna go down well.

I'm just watching No Way Out now between lessons - the SD! Chamber was fairly poor, but how awesome was the finish? Never ceases to amaze me how 'Taker does that reversal-into-a-Tombstone thing.

haha I didnt even bother watching the Smackdown one, thought the RAW one was pretty decent though. Stupid how everyone apart from Hardy and HHH went out in quick sucession though. I think what shows how WWE missed a trick by not letting Hardy win, was the huge pop he got when he kicked out of the pedigree, the whole place went up in cheers, mind you, HHH still got a decent pop when he won the match...so I guess a lot of people were still happy with the result.

Is the new draft still scheduled for soon after Mania? rosters could probs do with a bit of a shake up, or just some fresh angles, new faces in the mainevent scene would be what i'd be looking for.

Note: one stupid thing I see from last nights RAW is Y2J vs Jeff in a MITB qualifier....but yet Jeff had already qualified last week..."hmmm... wonder who was always going to win that one...."

Yeah, I'm just starting the RAW one now, I heard Jeff kicked out of a Pedigree and that's good news for him, not many people do that.

I haven't heard anything new about the draft yet, so I'm assuming it'll still happen. Given that it seems obvious that they're going for Umaga vs Batista at WM, I'd say Umaga's move to SD! is pretty set. Besides that I'm not sure. I'd like to see Punk in the spotlight a bit more, so a move to SD! for him would be nice.

haha if you want to see something funny, look up the ECW mainevent from the 3rd or 4th (i think) show from when it was first relaunched as the third brand of wwe, the fact that it is the old ECW Philadelphia arena just resulted in Big Show and Batista being given massive heat throughout the entire match, stupidly Batista comes out expecting to be given a huge pop and gets a chorus of boos and expletieves, and one point he actually turns round and appears to argue with a guy in the crowd. All I can say is that this just shows how stupid the wwe were to even attempt to do an event there which was just wwe packaged up as ECW and expected to get a great reception.

Haha, not seen that, will look it up when I get the chance to go back on YouTube or Dailymotion. TBH, I bet Show/Batista probably wasn't that good a match either. They must have hated that.

yeah exactly, it was just a disaster, the fact that its a small arena as well made it really obvious that there was loads of heat, there were no cheers to drown out the discontent. As soon as show gets in the ring you can see pretty much everyone in the crowd behind him sticking their middle fingers up and jeering. Then when Batista comes out he begins to walk to the ring, and then suddenly turns around and shouts at some guy in the crowd who has clearly said something to him. And yeah, the match was terrible, cant even remember how it ends now lol, but big show picked up a dirty win i think...

Loved watching Cena getting booed last night on Raw. Going for Orton at Wrestlemania although hes almost certain to lose.

Floyd Mayweather has been continuing making some strong comments since this week’s WWE WrestleMania 224 press conference. He said “I’m not going to stop until I get the championship belt,” in a recent interview with TheSweetScience.com. He also added “I’m staying here until I become the WWE champ.” Floyd Mayweather said, “I’m a risk taker,” while he was explaining why he accepted the deal to appear at WWE WrestleMania 24. “I wanted to dip into different fields and different avenues, that’s what I love to do. What better place to do it than WWE?”
Oh dear, lets hope that this never happens, to see a repeat of the infamous David Arquette as WCW champion is not exactly top of my list of things I want to see. Mind you, even that was better than Sting coming out with Robocop ffs.

At least this time the celebrity they've brought in is a) somebody with a bit of charisma, and b) somebody with an athletic background. I bet in a real fight there's probably a decent number of WWE guys that Mayweather would knock the crap out of.
