i got pumped yet again today and for the first time ever i have lost 3 one day games in a row and it sees me sitting in last spot. however i am still in the cup and leading the fc league so very confused.
There really isn't much to be confused about, obviously your OD league is much more difficult than your FC league, and previous cup opponents.

Looks like your struggling with PFL's mate - maybe you need to rotate some more? Do you have enough money to bring in some reserves? 16 players is cutting it a bit fine with FC and OD leagues, especially when you're playing cup matches as well.

Full blown BT bollocks mode so far, prime seam bowling conditions (green, humid and partially cloudy) and I have all of 1 wicket after 14 overs with Patel being hit for 17 off 2 overs.

Same crock of tripe match engine season after season.

Playing the best side in my league on paper, but they turned bot over the off season. Still, they're already caused a shock this season, so I'm not taking them lightly.

End of Over 14: 59-3, runrate=4.21
Westwood 2-0-17-1
Eagles* 7 (3 balls)
Cadmore 22 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Nolan b. Westwood 17 (FOW: 51/3)

Prutton on to start his third spell in big boy cricket.

Agreed - by the looks of it I'd say your team's playing at about 60% of capacity right now. Chuck your next cup match, seriously. A squad your size can't play five days of cricket a week and receive training.

Had my opponents at 24/3 after 7 overs, since when their middle order all-rounders have rather tucked in to my lesser bowlers. Very much in the balance still:

End of Over 23: 119-4, runrate=5.17
Marriott 5-0-36-1
Boateng* 0 (2 balls)
Steadhart 44 (45 balls)
Last Wicket: Lund st. Bromby b. Marriott 62 (FOW: 112/4)

Bugs' fitness/pfl problems is more to do with player stamina levels then playing too many matchdays. He needs to increase his main players stamina pretty soon, or he will always have the problem, regardless of whether he is in the cup or not.

Jaffna Jets v Blobbator

Blobbator 97 All Out
Mubarak 55*(70), Jeithoon 3/26(7), Granville 2/8(4), Sishayi 2/19(5), Matharu 2/26(7)

Jaffna Jets 0/98(16.4)
Clayton 49*(67), Lucas 46*(34)

Jaffna Jets Blobbator
Top Order: quality remarkable
Middle Order: mediocre competent
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: superb respectable
Spin Bowling: superb quality
Fielding: woeful feeble

Jeithoon knocked over their best batsmens apart from Muburak and the change bowlers did the rest. Resting Murali had a massive effect on ratings, it should be interesting to see what I get in cup when he comes back into the side this Sunday.

A few of sides in my league are starting to get decent ratings in a couple areas. But they all seem to have some pretty big weak areas, such as Blobbator's seam attack. Tempted to stay around in D3 until all my 2nd lot of trainees are finished. Mind you need a bit more of a challenge then the above game.

As if to prove my point even further, my SPINNER Dillon comes on in bowls 4-4-0-2 taking out both their in batsmen that my phenomenal rated seam couldn't remove on these humid & partially cloudy conditions on a green pitch.

Couldn't make it up.

Oh but wait, now Dillon is getting hammered by a numpty who'd scored 9* off 40.

I really went all out for this game, but that **** Payton, also holding me back. He has a better team generally speaking and it was a good game, so I'm fine with the loss, but Payton!!! If he'd conceded only 55 runs, then they would've had to chase 30 runs in 13 balls to win. Sure as **** doable, but much closer.

Now I have to nurse my PFLs back up after a killer week, which yielded 0 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Ah well. Go my ratings

Well yes, there's that too, but in the short term cutting down the number of fronts he's fighting on can only help. My players' stamina is fairly decent, and I still have to do a fair bit of juggling to keep all my big guns up to scratch.

Bit worried now in my match; if I don't take some quick wickets it'll be too much to chase against four pretty good spinners on a dusty pitch:

End of Over 40: 196-5, runrate=4.90
Piercy 10-0-56-0
Steadhart* 85 (93 balls)
Lineker 22 (36 balls)
Last Wicket: Boateng Run Out 5 (FOW: 141/5)

End of Over 39: 246-2, runrate=6.31

Fordham* 100 (97 balls)

Last Wicket: Becconsall c. Davenport b. Tenius 91 (FOW: 169/2)

Yet another 100 up for Fordham (Y)

Another five-fer for Oleary, who is positively storming his way through div IV at the moment. With my batsmen set defensive, it all depends on weathering the first 12 overs or so. Fingers crossed...

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 46: 224-10, runrate=4.87
Oleary 7-1-34-5
Bubb* 0 (1 balls)

Edit: Bromby goes fourth ball of the innings. Who wasn't crossing their fingers, eh? Eh?

Playing Woodhouse Wanderers. Before the season i flagged them to be the 2nd place team, behind Zulu Warriors. And thus far this season they are 3 from 3, too bad for them though that the 3 is in the losses column. Still fairly certain i will get smashed, but a win would basically point me in the right direction to finish as high as top 3. Be sure to tune in, shall be a cracker.

Well, that's that ****ed. Some strong medium-paced mincer rips out the guts of my batting inside five overs, leaving Platt to bat with not very much at all. Course, they were 24/3 at about this point too, but I conspicuously lack a phalanx of spin-bowling all-rounders to take up the slack. Hey ho.

End of Over 5: 25-3, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=4.44 (224-10)
Bubb 3-0-8-3
Platt* 7 (11 balls)
Alshaun 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Janes c. Steadhart b. Bubb 9 (FOW: 25/3)

Jeithoon played his 50th OD match today. Got a fair record so far. Hopefully by his 100th OD match he will be an International and have his bowling average below 10. Clayton is close to becoming the first player to play 100 competitve OD matches for the Jets, on 95 so far.
