In all honesty, you gotta feel for Tiwary. I can't imagine landing in Australia, and then 24 hours debuting and facing Lee in top flight.

Its international cricket FFS India. Get organised. The guy should have been in the country 3-4 days, or not played at all, and Raina should have.

Yeah I agree, Raina should've played and was pretty surprised when Tiwary was named in the squad.

Can't understand the Gambhir hate really. He's a pretty elegant batsman and hasn't really been given much of a go at International level. I admit he hasn't set the world on fire with the games he has gotten, but he seems to have a good temprement and his cut shots today were quite spectacular. Rohit Sharma looks good too and those drives were as good as I've seen from any top level batsman. I think they just need some more time in the middle and a big score is around the corner in the upcoming games.

It is such a load of bull crap really. First Raina wasn't chosen for the T20 game and then wasn't chosen for this game as well (Not that that would have made a difference between defeat and victory).

As the rain will mean match abandoned any way.

Gautam is pretty good actually but he has to learn to go on having got a start. Its quite a few innings now that he has got a start and not carried on.

Rohit Sharma looks very very good.

AWTA. Just give him some time. Really miss Yuvraj tho and Kaif should have got a gig as well. Agreed about Raina over Tiwary.

Gambhir has been given a decent run in one-day cricket and he has exhibited both technical and temperamental issues. Perhaps a big one is just around the corner but he's been quite poor thus far and he doesn't have the excuse of inexperience that a Raina, Sharma or Tiwary does. On that note, why is Raina not playing? He was in the best form out of the young ones and he didn't even get a go in the Twenty20 side. Tiwary just got here yesterday, probably hasn't even had a proper net session and was thrown into the deep end of a fiery Lee spell. He really didn't have a clue. Pathetic rebuilding effort from Uthappa and even Dhoni. Both are good runners but they were so defensive, didn't take enough singles and showed no aggressive intent at all. You need to be careful but not to the extent that the bowlers know you're not even trying to score - Hopes and Clarke in particular were nothing special and the two of them being so economical speaks volumes of the Indian batting effort. Disappointing from someone (Dhoni) who has developed into a very intelligent one-day batsman.

Yea, I think just like the last time when you said India were gonna score over 500.
I genuinely thought that they could in that first test. The preparation wasn't there and they couldn't and I was wrong there as I have said before. They did show later in the series that they were capable of scoring 500. Also, you need to lighten up, kid. It was genuinely a post in fun here.
