***Official*** India in Australia

And another Australian test cricket summer passes :( And another great bids farewell :( Will never see all those Indian superstars in Aus again either. Sad. But oh well – can’t wait for the tours Aus has this year – Pakistan and then India – my favourite. Pitch was a road, shame about the tame end. Still Schewag was absolutely superb, travesty didn’t get MOTM. Prob gave it to Sachin b/c of sentiment or some such. Silly.

Yeah will put my hand up and say I was horribly wrong, in hindsight, to advocate Yuvraj being included in the side at the expense of Laxman after England. Biggest cricketing clanger on CW for me, I reckon.
Bravo Pasag.

Great to see someone here saying they were so wrong.

Australians played well in this series against some good spirited team that toured Australia... Nevertheless, Australians proved why they are still best in the business. Just heard the news that Indians are going to boycott the ODI series if ICC doesnt give clean chit to Harbhajan. Its really childish act from Indian Board. Someone must tell them that its not fair to boycott.

Iff India do boycott the tour than the international sporting community need to take action , iff India start boycotting tours whats to stop others from doing the same ?

just thought I would show you this post that I read on a aussie football forum were they are all having a go at the Indians poor behavior. Some people might say that the aus team dosent have the support off all the nation, this is true but they do have 100% support from the autralian youth

"First of all we have their petulance when Clarke was given not out to something which was clearly not out. They then proceeded to keep chirping away as the bowler was getting ready to bowl, which is not in the spirit of the game. Australia only chirps in between balls, not when the other team is about to face up.

Then we had the absolutely disgusting actions of Karthik, the 12th man mind you, who spat in Clarke's direction. That is absolutely disgraceful and deserves a hefty fine and a signficant ban. That is the sort of behaviour that no sport wants to see and it is an embarrassment to our game and reflects poorly ont he person himself.

Sharma's reaction to Hayden when he bowled him also was unsportsmanlike, and surely it would have to be borderline whether he got a hefty fine for it. You can't just eyeball a batsman from one metre away after you have got him out and get away with it.

People say the Australians are bad. I would hate to see what all the stupid journalists like Roebuck would have to say if Australia did these things. Imagine if Ponting spat at an oppositon player. The uproar would be never ending"

Yep, that post comprehensively confirms every single Autralian (sic) youth is behind the team.
well iff you want to be technical they obvioulsy dont have 100% as knowbody in this world does but I spend alot of time on a australian sport forum that has around 50,000 members and i am yet to see 1 person have a go at australia not 1 , none of my mates have and there was even a story on the news about it

Awesome series, and would have been even better had this pitch offered even a tiny bit for the bowlers. Adding a 5th test wouldn't have been a bad idea either, and it's a shame it was tainted by thee trollish one-eyed, bias, ridiculous nature of some of the fans from both sides of the camp.

Lee was a deserved MOTS. Took wickets when we most needed them, and played a fantastic innings in sydney to help give Australia a good first innings total.

I know people are going to criticize Johnson after this series as well, but IMO, he was great for some playing just their 2nd test series. Sure his radar is a little wayward at times, but it was quite obvious to me that he improved a lot as the series went on and imo he was also quite unlucky at times. He had a great (admittedly out of touch, but still, he's a great) batsmen in Dravid under his thumb for the first 3 tests, and was unlucky only to dismiss him once due to dropped catches (and No-balls, although they were his own fault). Apart from that 1 spell in Perth where he was really carted, he generally kept things tight, and should be commended for being able to bowl long spells of 8+ overs consistently at 140-150km/hr.

With these kind of pitches Test Cricket should really be headed for 6 days a Test.
Personally think Australia should be grateful it didn't go to a mythical sixth day....cause that pitch was starting to do some funny stuff towards the end there.

Kumble would have been a real handful on that surface on a day 6.

I though India started reading Hogg's wrongun in Sydney and from then on they have had few problems with him.

He may get to play some more tests - Australia don't have too many options in the spin dept but I'd be surprised if he has a great deal of success.
Bowls too many hit me for four deliveries for mine and doesn't have a great deal of variety outside that wrongun.

Sachin was the man for india..i can't decide wether to put Gilly in Avator or Sachin.. love to see him keep playing like this for another couple of years..

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Regardless of what he did in this series, he deserves to at least be in the squad to go to India along with MacGill, and get some practice in the conditions over there in warm up matches or the like.

cant do the same in return ?

iff you are young Aussie who believes the aus cricket team has behavior problems than you are part of a minority
