Haha, nice footy kick from Ponting. Kyle, I don't know what your issue is with Hogg, he deserves more of a chance. He's played the best spin playing side in the world on some pretty unresponsive pitches. He deserves to play in Pakistan and WI. If he fails there, drop him by any means.

Sehwag MOTM, Lee (over Tendulkar) MOTS

Thoughts?
Tendulkar probably MOTM, for me. His innings was more significant in terms of the outcome, don't forget that for all the runs that came later, India weren't really in the greatest position early on.

Lee MOTS though, agreed.

Pasag said earlier in a post how we were possibly robbed as cricket fans from one of the great series' because of the umpiring blunders at Sydney and, (I think if I remember right) there not being a 5th test. Cannot agree more and can't help but feel that this series could have been so much more. Still has been awesome cricket wise mind.

Congrats on Australia and the Australian forum members on here on the series win. There have been a fair few very biased posters on both sides which was highlighted best during the Sydney test but neverthless, it has been excellent interacting with the Aussie forum members like Matt79, Pasag, Top_Cat, Archie among others who have brought in some solid insights. The regular Indian posters we see during the Indian tests like Jono, SilentStriker, Adharcric, Anil have produced quality as usual as well.

Looking forward to the tests v South Africa and all the best to the Aussies for the tests v Windies.

Hayden's 3 tons in 3 matches must get a mention but Lee has been so far ahead of any bowler that I'd give it to him

Haha at Gilly to Sharma "Look how short that boundary is.."

Pratyush, iirc, I said we were robbed of the possibility of one of the greatest series because of lack of preparation of the Indian side before Melbourne :)

Yeah, that is one of the points too. So ridiculous that we didn't prepare more ahead of the first test.

Sheer class, what a gem. Brilliant cricketer and quite possibly an even better human being. Gilly, you'll be missed and cherished for years to come.
