Glad they didn't get thrashed. But considering the situation they were in, you can't really base a bowling plan around a score of 238...you ask yourself if you should aim to bowl them out or defend the score, especially if Pakistan's batting. But a good effort overall.

Does anyone know why Utseya, one of the most economical spinners there is, didn't bowl a single over? Baffling.

Shoaib Malik syndrome taken to the extreme imo.
Actually the cynic in me says that he was trying to preserve his ODI bowling statistics by not bowling against strong opposition.

I'm guessing he had no faith in himself after getting pumped in the previous game. With Price and Taibu back in the team now, though, his expertise as either the main the spinner or as captain wouldn't be missed too much if he was dropped, so he's playing with fire.

Definately, they'd probably beat Bangladesh based on Bangladesh's performances in NZ recently.

Agreed. Zimbabwe have been looking really good of late (in relative terms) despite having an absolutely shocking system at home, while Bangladesh (IMO) have stalled slightly in their progress, which I think is mainly due to having so, so many young cricketers who haven't matured enough (but then, isn't that always the case with Bangladesh?).

If the Bangladesh selectors weren't idiots, then Zimbabwe wouldn't get close IMO. Rasel, Mashrafe, Razzak would be too good in the bowling department while the batting still has explosiveness and reliability. That said, Zimbabwe are definitely improving. Positive signs.

Zimbabwe most certainly have the better batting lineup these days, IMO, while the exact opposte could be said about their bowling. I'd like to see them schedule an annual ODI series really.
