Man I hate how the Windies have Ganga and Morton in the top 3. Terrible day for the Windies.

is this the worst estabilished nation batting order ever. the only person who knows which end to hold id chanderpaul the rest are painfully inadequate. id fancy bangladesh to take them

Chanderpaul is world class.
Sameuls is vaguely good - he can certainly improve.
The rest? Well....

Gibbs was beginning to look in imperious form when he attempted that pull. Such a shame for him.

Just got back from a friends house, whose I went to straight after work, and all I can say when I saw the scorecard is SHAUN!!!!!

Surely this has to change selectors minds.

Agr33d. Bravo is decent too. But he should be batting at around 7 ideally.

Windies should have picked Nash :)

Nah. He needs to have played at least one WI FC season. Bravo should be ideally batting at 6, just out of form really.

Woke up and saw Taylor and Sammy batting before lunch. Then the score. Went back to sleep. Woke up again and the score was 130-1. apparently awful bowling and Smith punishing them for it?

Based on stats you could say so. Maybe this lineup but not the full one.

Gayle
opener in form
Sarwan
Chanderpaul
Samuels
Bravo
Ramdin
Powell/ Sammy/ Mohammed
Taylor
Lawson
Edwards

Piss off Graeme Smith.

Ruining my bet for Kallis top run scorer for South Africa. Particularly since SA will now only bat once in this test... more than likely.

Hahaha... put a mocker on Smith and send him on his way mate... anyways after raising all sorts of expectations by winning the first test Windies are back at their woeful best, obviously all the injuries that they have had to deal with hasn't made their job any easier but still one expected a far better performance than this from them.

Weather was good for bowling earlier?
Yes and yes. The West Indies' bowling really is awful, one ball short and wide and the next one too straight. There has been some good balls, but mostly it's been very average.

The conditions were good for bowling this morning, but the South African bowlers really bowled well, apart from André Nel. Good on Pollock for picking up four wickets.

Beggars belief that Collins or Collymore can't get into this team.
Collymore had a dreadful first class season IIRC and reportedly went from "doesn't use to pace as a weapon but is fast enough to cause problems due to everything else he has in his armory" to "too slow".

Collins... well, yeah, agreed, but the selectors don't seem to rate him for some reason.

Collins hasn't played cricket for a while. For this tour he was selected as backup really. Should come into contention against Sri Lanka I suspect.

I think the West Indies pace attack is fairly decent, but today was a very poor day at the office. Taylor bowled well and was economical, he was willing to be patient and at least he stopped a continuing stream of boundaries. Which is where Sammy disappointed me.

South African bowling is gun
Steyn, Ntini, Pollock and Nel.. pretty strong bowling line up.. it is sad that they don't give much chances to pollock..i see alot of potential in thier line up
