Yeah but given you can work out what they're trying to say it doesn't change the meaning of the sentence because you use a bit of common sense.
It's annoying though and it shouldn't be like that. It's not remotely hard to remember a few basic rules and saying that it doesn't matter is such a dire attitude. 'I know it's wrong, but I cbf to make myself speak my first language properly.'

I don't find it annoying at all because it's not hard to use some common sense. It's an internet forum ffs, if it was a more formal situation I might agree. Even so though, the only use I see for grammar is to make something comprehensible. As long as it's understandable then one way of saying the same thing is not intrinsically better than the other way.

There's so much more important stuff that we need to be worrying about than a misplaced apostrophe.

Yes for once I agree with you. Foster impressed me immensely at Watford last season, he was under immense pressure in just about every game, had more to do than any other keeper in the league, and made less ****-ups. Only one I can remember was the obvious Robinson one, but other than that, nothing - really solid keeper, he seemed.
where I think he is a decent player, and a decent prospect, I am not yet fully convinced.

For me the First choice keeper for any major international side must play for a team in the top 6 of the league, its all very well to say foster played well and made lots of decent saves whilst playing for watford, but in actuality that doesnt mean very much, whilst playing in a team with a terrible defence any keeper will make some decent saves, simply because they will be receiving 7-12 shots on target each game. At the higher level a Keeper can end up with only having to deal with 2-3 shots on target each game, and its crucial he saves these, rather than let in 2 and then play a blinder. Where I rate Foster, I firmly believe you can not judge a keepers ability to the full extent untill he plays in a successful team. If you look around the rest of europe, none of the major national sides pick their first choice keepers from mid table/ lower division sides, and England should be no different.

I agree with this, but on CW I just cannot be bothered to type everything properly (most of the time anyway), when writing something that will be graded or an important letter or something I'll use the proper grammar etc...but this is only a forum.

They're just horrible, aren't they? Really, really poor. Dawson was once touted as an England chance too, scarily enough. Possibly even played, but couldn't swear to that.

Think it's fair to say they're now actually worse than useless, because they've started to actively get in each other's way.

Heartbreaking, obv.
Think Dawson was backup at the WC

Some of the great keepers in England's history have played for struggling sides.

I generally tend not to judge keepers on number of great saves, but instead on the least amount of foul-ups, for two reasons. Firstly, as a defender, I'd far rather be playing in front of a guy who may not pull out the brilliant saves, but who can be relied upon. And secondly - and this is the main reason - quite a lot of what the media hypes as "great save" really isn't. With notable exceptions (Banks v Brazil, Schmeichel v Vienna, Seaman v Sheffield Utd, and so on) they're mostly saves where, had the keeper not made them, he would have been pilloried by the media. Thus they're regulation saves that the keeper has either dealt with as he would be expected to, or they're regulation saves that some over-hyped keeper such as Casillas or Buffon has made look better than it really is.

As a result of my general outlook on keepers, the fact that Foster made only one bollock (that I can remember) despite having had more oppotunities to **** it up than everyone else is impressive, to me.

I don't expect to have changed your opinion of him as a result of this post particularly, but this is my reasoning.

I don't know how many more times I can take watching Derby throw it all away in the last minute.

That's 5 times in the last 7 games

There is a misplaced apostrophe and there is using an entirely wrong bloody asparagus in the first place.

Just because you understand what someone means (and you understood the above, in the smae way taht you usndrntead the snoecd hlaf of tihs setcnnee) doesn't make it alright.

Remember another bollock Foster dropped, either chuffed up a simple kick out from a back pass or missed the ball completely, totally gifted an easy goal. Was in one of the last few games of the season.

Tbh not been overly impressed by what i saw of him. Dont fancy him becoming utd's no 1, just dont think he's got what it takes. Theres just too much to live upto, the shadow of Schmeichel hasnt left yet, and many a good keepers fallen by the wayside trying to fill his boots (Bosnich was good till he came back, Barthez, even Van Der Saar hasnt completely convinced, especially last season)

Having said that, whenever we've played Kusczack, he's impressed, though i'd rather he wasnt our no in the future, as i cbf learning how to spell his surname.

Plus Kusczack let in a goal from a goal kick, which is the most embarassing thing you can do.
