The fact is we don't know whether Clarke did regardless of what the local Aussie haters think about how one would know - particularly due to how close it really was to being taken.

But of course, people will criticise the Aussies for absolutely anything these days so the Clarke incident is nothing new (for ****'s sake people criticised Gilly for walking).

Yes, people look for a reason to attack the Australians at every opportunity. The whole furore over Australia pushing some old bloke off the stage after winning the Champions Trophy being a prime example. It seems with every successful sporting team comes the disadvantage of everyone wanting to believe the worst in them.

Haha, I can think of countless hundreds of instances dating back to 2001 and further. Dunno how long you've been following the game for, obviously.

Many people like to simply deflect the attention away from the fact that Australia's team played better than theirs (which happens quite a lot).

Well, Perm directly contributed to getting that "Kiwi Chat" thread closed down a couple of weeks ago, which had been created to prevent this sort of chat stuff cluttering other threads whilst Phlegm didn't have MSN. Frankly, Perm has made his bed here - and although fiery's not meeting the rules - I think there needs to be some understanding of cause and consequence before condemnation.
You don't need a seperate thread just you so can keep spam out of CC or OT threads, what those three, and you to a lesser extent HDS, need to do is learn to keep on-topic, or use MSN. It's really not that hard. But now, as a result of this spam, we've had a further 5 or 6 posts that have contributed to taking the discussion even further off-topic. Really is a shame.

EDIT: I did actually just make my bed though, how did you know? :p

And if you really want to chat away like needy schoolgirls, Testing Forum is perfect for that.
