If Black caps are gonna play with same bowling line-up that they used in South Africa then they are in for big trouble, Vettori looks like the only bowler capable of troubling the Aussies but the rest like Mills and Gillespie and Oram are too inconsistent to be successful against a strong batting line-up like the Australian one.

Not Terrible
Na Mills is gun and Gillespie did alright last time he was in Aus, an average of 32 isn't all that rough in Aussie.

If Bond was in the lineup and Franklin was fit I think our bowling would look really good.

Bond
Mills
Franklin
Gillespie/Patel (conditions)
Vettori

Would be my prime bowling attack versus Australia.

Though TBF we only have Mills Gillespie and Vettori available (Patel once again depending on conditions).

tbh i'm suprised Oram hasn't been ruled out. it seems like he can only do one thing either bat or bowl before he carks it and feels the pain of his hamstring strain.
would have been a better idea to send him back to nz so he can fully recover.

After being bomabarded with violence is wrong campaigns for most of my short life I have come to the conclusion that we should solve all our problems with a gun.

1. Shoot Bracewell

2. Shoot Hopkins

3. Shoot the Australians

Guns don't kill people, irate sports fans kill people.

So here we go again. I don't see the need for any changes in what should have been a winning side in South Africa. Fulton may have to wait a bit before getting back into the side, given how well How and McCullum performed. Of the current batting lineup, only Taylor looks likely to be dropped, given his poor form in South Africa, so it'll be interesting to see how he goes.

If Lou Vincent or Scott Styris or whoever goes down I'd rather have Peter Fulton than Gareth Hopkins on standby to come into the team. But there is definitely a strong case for keeping the same first XI.

Drop Taylor for a bit so he can build confidence at domestic level. He doesn't seem capable at the moment of scoring big runs consistantely. Fulton in for him. My line-up

L Vincent
+B McCullum
J How
P Fulton
M Sinclair
S Styris
J Oram
*D Vettori
K Mills
J Franklin (pref. at least he can keep it under 6 per over ... maybe)
J Patel / M Gillespie

Patel should definitely play in front of Gillespie and Styris at 5 and Sinclair at 6. Pretty good team you have there. The thing is both Taylor and Vincent are highly likely to score big runs on Aussie ODI roads but Vincent usually scores bigger so keep him.

nice line up, but slightly impossible for this series.
Fulton is still on the comeback trail and Franklin is probably hobbling round on crutches.

How to get eaten alive in Australia for my money.

Cannot fathom how he scored the two scores he did in SA TBH.

Taylor & Fulton > him anyday, though obviously How's in for the time being.
