I'm seriously considering not going on cricinfo ever again. The attempts at humour are pathetic and sickening.

Rajesh: "Block.Block.Block.Block.Thwack.Block. thats the story so far folks on Day 4"

They badly need someone with real wit.

I know, but it's upto them to put them up on the web. If I received these kinds of comments I'd be deeply embarrassed just reading them.

Another gem from the commentary:

Ahmed asks, "Who is Doctrove?" He is the umpire boss. That question reminds me of a line from a recent hindi movie called shootout at lokhandwala. The line went, "Pan Ganpat kaun hai?!"

I don't get the joke (haven't watched the movie) but it sounds insufferably lame.

Just amazing batting from Pakistan. Misbah has been just awesome, coming in at 85/3 and then saving the follow on is just amazing. I dont remember when was the last time a batsman did something like this. Back in 2005 Razzaq and Akmal did something like this in Mohali (?) and aved follow on there as well and managed a draw.

Hats off to him and to Akmal as well.

Yeah, Misbah has stepped in where Inzy left off. It's amazing how well he can adapt to the situation; whether it's slogging in a 20/20 or grinding it out in a test match.

Anyway the Indian bowling is looking pretty toothless here; I can't see them getting 20 wickets against Australia later on.

yeah but that would've been difficult anyway however well we did in this series...playing the aussies is a different ballgame...

they should give vvs a chance to bowl against the aussies, given his propensity to perform well against them, he might just get some wickets....:)

Hmm....this match is starting to get interesting and I think Its starting to really turn bigtime out there.

India 160 ahead....IMo they'll want to set Pakistan minimum 350....game on IMO.

Pakistan selectors should learn a lesson from Misbah's comeback and give more chances to similar players like him, like Hasan Raza, Bazid Khan etc, at least Hasan Raza for sure. And get rid of Hameed and others like Hafeez, Nazir for good.

Haha, pretty contradictory post. You want the selectors to give players who have failed before lifelines, but at the same time you want some of the current lot axed for good. You could probably just swap some of those names around, wait six months and say the same thing.

Bazid Khan, Hasan Raza are not failures. Bazid Khan has played one test, and Hasan Raza has played just 8, which is about as many as Misbah had played before he was dropped. And we've seen the way he's come back, and I would expect the samething from H Raza. Hafeez, Hameed etc all have a really bad FC average, so they have no hope of becoming decent Test players, esp seeing they've been given so many more chances than some other players, and still there's no improvement in their game.

It should be an interesting final day tomorrow. India will probably set a target of around 350 in 75 overs. Shouldn't be a problem for Pakistan to get the draw but you never know particularly if there is some turn. Everyone knows what happened when Australia played here last...
