Some Pakistanis on cricinfo reckon that Pakistan can chase 350 in 90- overs........

I reckon that's very doubtful....have India ever lost a test where they have batted first and Kumble and Harbhajan have been in tehr team ? I can't remember an instance.....

I honestly think if India can really step on the gas in the lest 15 overs....they've gota decent chance tmrw of knocking Pakistan over.

350 in 90 would be tough but certainly possible. Would be astonished if India declared today though. They are 1-0 up and will be confident of getting a draw in the last match given Pakistan's bowling. They have no reason to take risks.

what is younis up to here?

Kaneria got a wicket and the new batsman is in... instead of attacking and bringing back shoaib or sami he brought butt to bowle.. now sohail is bowling while resting kaneria.. no slip what to put pressure on Dhoni..

Butt only bowled so Kaneria could change ends.

I don't think Pakistan could make 350 in 90 overs on a 5th day Indian wicket....even Australia would be hard pressed to make that against Harby and Kumble imo.

now i get it and kaneria bowled another over and got jaffer... pretty decent captaincy... i am assuming the reason the fielders are not in slips because they are in boundries to stop fours and sixes while giving them singles doesn't hurt pakistan that much..

Shoaib you ****.

ya lets hope he comes in next over and get him out himself...

in india and pakistan matches every run is valuable.,, in 20/20 final hafeez droped one of the catches of Rohit sharma that went for six... at the end that was the difference.. again it is wrong to say pakistan would win it if that catch would have been taken. and then again pakistan might have win it...now we don't wana play the "if" game here...

Yeah a bit disappointing from India at the end. Still if they can bat about an hour tomorrow and score 50-60 runs they will have about 70-75 overs to bowl out Pakistan. I would give them about a 30% chance of pulling it off. I think the opening spells will be important; if Zaheer and Munaf can get a couple of early wickets and put Pakistan under pressure I can see Kumble and Harbhajan getting 8 wickets in two sessions.

why bat an hour,i will bat 6-7 overs maximum score at about 7-8
so u will be near 340..and will get any where between 80-82 overs to bowl at them...

This is where the differences between a side like Australia or South Africa and a side like India become obvious.

When India bowled Pak out today, they had a lead of about 160. Had Australia been in this position, they would've sent Hayden and Gilchrist out and the team would've been 350 ahead, smashing the bowlers at 6 an over. At this point they would've declared and sent Pak in to bat, with one or two Pak wickets already in the bag at the end of the day. Instead India choose to take it easy, score at 3.91 (absolutely NO sense of urgency) and pretty much guarantee a draw here.

There's just no urgency or instinct to win. I see a series whitewish or at most a draw or two in Australia. I don't think India are gonna win a single match there. England's superior outfit got thrashed in the Ashes pretty recently - I can't imagine what sort of mauling India are gonna take.

This is what separates the good teams from the mediocre ones.

Dont be this one side....do you remmebr we defeated the superior english side in england ??? and if we are able to draw 2 test in australia...as far as i am coinsidred i will be very happy..

and by the way they did bat very very slowly for my liking also..with 2 promoted batsmen.
