Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. Well done to Vaasy, deserves it too. I hope he goes well in this series and takes a good haul.Sweet, Vaas got a wicket. That's gotta feel good after his 1/102 at the Gabba. 100th Test for the big man too.
Is anyone watching this live...? How was that LBW shout off Malinga ?Dunno Jason. England's second innings, I reckon.
Out for mine, but you have to have sympathy with the umpire I think. Is anyone watching this live...? How was that LBW shout off Malinga ?
To JBH - I am certain Murali will get to 709 by tomorrow.
Yeah, Sangakkara and Vaughan should both have been out. Doubly frustrating to get bad decisions when the catching's up to scratch.Vaughan looked out there for mine.
Yeah, top-class bowler always > a top-class batsman in terms of influence. Without bowling you don't win; with batting you can only not lose.Still Murali for me, he'll win you more tests than Sangakarra will. The fact that it's worthy of discussion shows the value of Sanga to SL nowadays tho.
This was about the one ball we managed to find time to watch in the staffroom at morning break. The consensus was it was out, unless it was an U11 match and the batting team were nine down for about 60, needing another 100 to win.Is anyone watching this live...? How was that LBW shout off Malinga ?

Jason I respect your knowledge of Sri Lankin grounds but I say England are heading for a first innings lead of at least 150 and probably more unless Murali turns in a miracle performance. The pace bowlers are not in form.I guess Sanga got one let off from MSP, so the Vaughan one evens things out..
England will do well to take a first Innings lead of 100 plus...as Kandy tests never result in Teams getting huge scores. And a lead of 100 or more on First Innings will definitely be a match winning lead at this Venue.
