CW Blue would like to offer young legspinner Ben Taylor a two year rookie contract.
When asked what he thought on this years rookies, Demeza commented "Yeah, there's been a lot of good kids recently put their hand up for the dev league. It's great. Taylor bowls a great wrong un and slider, hard to pass that up. He'll be competing with a couple other leggies at Blue, but the more competition the better the results. Our depth in all departments is looking pretty good, now"
CW Blue hope to go on a pre-season team tour, starting within the next week.

For what it's worth, I think Hopgood is also yet to sign in. How long is the sign-in thread going to last, by the way? Surely those players that have not signed in by now should be deemed inactive? It's been ages.

Cricket Web Red can reveal its first signing of the year, with John Heads, an aspiring young batsman, joining the club on a rookie contract. At a press conference in Edfield today, Mørk revealed that "some of the opening batsmen that have been tried have perhaps not filled that role quite as expected, and may flourish more in the lower order."
(On a side note, why are everyone signing 2-year rookie contracts? AFAIK, since the rookies don't cost for anything, rookie contracts are only 1 year...)
