wasn't he 16 for some five years or so...that part about age is a little doubtful to say the least....I would say his 37 baller when he was 16 was pretty special
Are we discussing that 37 ball 100Haha, yeah. There's absolutely no way Afridi was 16 when playing said innings, no-one at said age would have much of a chance of that.
I'd be very surprised if he wasn't 19 or 20.

Mine too. No one else on the W.I. team reached 30, and England were bowled out for less than Viv's total.that's the best in my opinion as well...
I think that they deemed it was impossible to chase down, so they refused to do it.Anyone know why the Indians didn't chase down the total. Was it a protest, match fixing or in their interests to lose due to points table. Can't think of any other reason.
Gavaskar was a stubborn bastardThat makes no sense. Wouldn't you just try anyway. Were there not paying spectators.
Edited. (Just being pedantic)A lot of good contenders, but in the end it has to be Viv's 189*. The attack faced was pretty good, the situation was quite bleak, the total runs made was very high (before 150+ scores were common), and the quality of his strokeplay was sublime. You combine all those factors, and it should be the best.
