Greatest ever One Day Innings

Haha, yeah. There's absolutely no way Afridi was 16 when playing said innings, no-one at said age would have much of a chance of that.

I'd be very surprised if he wasn't 19 or 20.

Greatest OD Innings

Lehmann, last night.

Oh shut up, you all knew it was coming.

Seriously, of the ones I actually saw, Michael Bevan's 78* against the WI at the SCG on New Year's Day takes some beating for the pressure of the situation. Adam Gilchrist's 149 in the WC final was damn special too. Chris Harris's 130 against Aus in the 1996 WC quarter final was an amazing knock too.

Anyone know why the Indians didn't chase down the total. Was it a protest, match fixing or in their interests to lose due to points table. Can't think of any other reason.

Chris Harris 130 in the 96 WC quarter final gainst Australia.

Or Ricky Ponting in the 03 WC final.

Mark Waugh played some absolute gems as well.

I think that they deemed it was impossible to chase down, so they refused to do it.

That makes no sense. Wouldn't you just try anyway. Were there not paying spectators.

A lot of good contenders, but in the end it has to be Viv's 189. The attack faced was pretty good, the situation was quite bleak, the total runs made was very high (before 150+ scores were common), and the quality of his strokeplay was sublime. You combine all those factors, and it should be the best.

Edited. (Just being pedantic) ;)
