***Official*** Sri Lanka in Australia

Lee gets a fourth and looks like Australia will bat again.

Brilliant knock from Jayawardene and shut the **** up Mark Nicholas you dopey ****.

Grrr he annoys me.

I have a feeling he is actually better than Bradman, but has decided to keep his batting ability in check so he doesn't unbalance the modern game.
Its only fair - he's the whole package otherwise.

Strong and strapping, brilliant facial bone structure and eyes you could swim in. He's so dreamy.

Good start for the Aussies - the Lankans are in real strife considering they'll have to use Jayasuriya as a specialist bowler.

If one of Malinga or Fernando go for runs, who else do they have? Jayawardene to have a trundle?

The Wheel is Forever
This is a good decision from Ponting. Sri Lanka couldn't even bat through the third day of the Test match, so Ponting isn't really worried about them being able to bat out the entire fifth day and most of the fourth. Lee has bowled 20+ overs, so it's important to make sure that the pacers get enough rest. He doesn't want them breaking down with overwork. This SL lineup doesn't scare them, so they can be confident that if they have at least one full day - they'll be fine.

Excellent century for Jayawardene, really good to see him and Sangakkara making runs against the best team in the world. If only they could to it more consistently then they might deserve their average.

Lee in good form with the ball too, spearheading the attack well.

Australia will probably declare mid way through the afternoon session tomorrow.

Until then, I think it is going to be a painful (and most likely fruitless) leather hunt for all the SL bowlers. Not going to be pretty to watch (depending on perspective of course) as the pitch is still a road. I would sigh, but perhaps I am just getting used to it. Genuinely glad that there is no third test - we dont deserve it, not until we are a whole lot better.

50 up for Jacques. It seems the man can do no wrong.

Also, did anyone else catch the tea interview with Murali?
It was awesome watching the master demonstrate and talk about his bowling. Really enjoyed that.

No C

Loved watching Mahela bat, one of my favourite non-Australian players. I'm glad Ponting didn't enforce the follow-on, there's still plenty of time, the weather forecast is good, and there's a lot of cricket over the coming months so there's no point wearing out our attack after 2 test matches.

Yeah, that was (rare) good stuff from channel 9. Murali is just so nice, a lovely, lovely man.

Loved seeing Jayawardene get that ton, a lovely stylist. My second favourite current player after VVS. I've rarely seen someone play a better shot and get out

Cricket ads are good this summer.... except for that wolf blass one. OMG, that is so bad

I think they would probably declare at Lunch or even before lunch once the lead is 500 .
Already 402 odd - so likely 500 by lunch or 1/2 hour before lunch.

My guess is SL will probably be all out by first session Day 5 or even end of Day 4...

I expect Murali to now go past 708 in 2 weeks time either on the 1st or 2nd December in the First Test v England.

Agreed. He may get another wicket tomorrow but I think it unlikely. The Aussie bats are so damn good.

Its been a tough tour for him alright, but it certainly would be sweeter to take the record in SL.
