Check Murali's action in a Test - Warne

Can't you just speak English? Thats the second time today that I've had to look up a word from one of your posts, which is normally a good thing, but one of them wasn't even correct.
Sorry, it's an Alan Clark reference, so blame him.

& (assuming you mean shibboleth) the word was correct, I just mistyped...

You see this is why radio commentary is better than tv. On the cricket show I saw O’Donnell and Slater attempting to defend Warne and his absurd suggestion his comments were taken out of context. Which of course they had to, because the whole thing has the feeling of some awful boys club. And on the radio just now Roebuck pointed out Warne was always talking about Murali and subtly ridiculed him. Good on you Roeby.

Bleh. The truth is ALWAYS somewhere in between.

Half the Nine box are Warnie's ex-teammates, who'd be regarded as voyeurs if they'd picked this stage to undermine him, and Roebuck's track record of scoring points off of Warne - whose antics fit v. well into his airy-fairy verse in the SMH - has been sustained for a good decade.

Warne really is an incredible jackass.

Reminds me of the time that I saw him at Crown Casino - it was just after he had been sent home from the WC for failing a drugs test.

Turns up at the front door in his Ferrari, throws the keys to the doorman, lights up a smoke, (to his credit) signs autographs for all and sundry, all whilst telling someone on his mobile phone that he was really the innocent victim.

Normal people would be holed up and hiding their heads with shame. Warnie was too comfortable in Denial-land for that

Ah, I originally had thought it was a question posed to Warne and he had given that reply. But if you read that, it really becomes disappointing. Just ****-stirring from the sidelines. I think Warne feels he needs to get on the action or put his mark on things. Really disappointing, as aforesaid. I side with Murali on this one. You can essentially lift that part from the article and it still makes sense and is a good read.

Did any of you catch Steve Waugh's recent comment about Murali's action being OK and, IIRC, being the greatest ever? Couldn't posssibly be an attempt to wind up his former team mate who didn't place him very his all time top 50 by any chance.

 Who knows. Steve Waugh works in mysterious ways.

Stephen Waugh and Shane Warne both work in mysterious ways TBH. Just Waugh gives-off the air of being rather smart with it.
