Geeves injured his Knee yesterday, it was swollen last night, and couldn't play today, not sure about the rest of the match though.

Over 20.3: Harris to Ponting; Four! drops short, Ponting quickly into position, pulls over midwicket, ball landing just inside the rope

we are not worthy :p

All the Manou bashers getting some. 99* at the end of the day, building two big partnerships with Harris (60) and Gillespie (48*) to get S.A. to 303. Geeves gets 5 for Tassie. Not a bad bowler, bowled very well when I saw him bowl against Queensland a couple of weeks ago.

 Yes I was totally wrong with this one! Good on him 190 is a big effort for a player with his discipline and technique.

Gillespie the darkhorse for the test team, taking Symond's spot as a batting all-rounder. You heard it here first folks

The pitches are quite obviously flat tracks. Hell, Murali was wicketless for a majority of the Chairman XI's innings...was 0/90 or something.
Which is why I think Noffke should seriously be considered for the 3rd seamers' role. 12 wickets so far from two matches. 2 5/fors.

I know he's more than likely not going to get it, but would deserve it, if given the call.

As I said earlier, all but one of his wickets were when NSW were going the tonk to try and extend their lead. His figures lie in that sense.

Still He went for 30 off 3 of his overs and still bowled 35 for 108, so must have been bowling pretty good. His 5 wickets at the 'Gabba weren't going the tonk.

some good articles on cricket.com.au on how the Aussies felt they went this week

basically...

Hussey - i'm happy i got time in the middle
Lee - happy with his form
MacGill - is comfortable if he doesnt get picked

Don't know why Lee is happy with his form. Form has to do with performance and given he didn't get a wicket against Qld, I wonder why he's happy.

Maybe he's happy with the way he's bowling without getting results, but his form isn't that great.

Divvers unlucky not to get his ton before stumps. Morning session will be a big one, if SA can't get at least 1 of Ponting & Divvers they're in serious trouble.

Actually, form has to do with how you are bowling. Maher testified that Lee was bowling very, very well out there. Results don't mean a whole lot...I believe Lee and Maher when they say he was bowling well. Wickets don't mean you're bowling well just as not getting wickets doesn't mean you're bowling poorly.

Form in this definition comes from the word performance, so it has everything to do with results. I've yet to hear a bowler say, "I'm in great form. I'm not getting any wickets". Until now.

In the one day series against us, Tendulkar was scoring plenty of runs, but to me he looked in terrible form.
