I really hate Brett Lee when he gets dire figures, always annoyed when he bowls no balls too.
same

during the Ashes he was hot and cold.. when he was hot.. (Like in the second innings in the adelaide oval) he is hard to handle because he bowls a good length and at the speed he bowls he troubles any batsmen

but when he's cold he'll bowl half volleys.. full tosses.. and he looks incredibly one dimensional ..its just that it was covered more by McGrath and Warne

i think everyone knows consistency has been Bingers problem.. though we cant forget this is his first match in Australia so hopefully him bowling out there in the longer form of the game is good enough :)

what i'm really concerned by with our potential/most likely test attack.. (Lee Johnson Clark MacGill) is that only one of them actually knows how to create pressure consistently IMO

Tasmania vs South Australia Pura Cup will be a rip snorter...
Hilfy vs Tait..

ffs Clarke run out.. worse way to go out ...bit more practice would've been nice... was hoping when i saw him go out that Midge got him out ...

Top pull shot by Tim Paine. If you ever wanted a textbook example of how to play it perfectly, then that was it. Tasmania beat SA by 6 wickets and Dan Marsh finishes it off with a six. The Tigers also get a BP.

BTW why isn't Ponting playing? Rested I presume?

Hey Nnanden on ABC Radio a few minutes back the commentator was talking about Heal as being a suprise Australian selection if he gets a 6 for in the tour match as he's 3/30 at the moment. Just thought you'd like to know..
Mate, smiling so much right now. So funny.

Elbow injury I think. Will be playing in the FC fixture though.

Tigers website says it was because of injections into his elbow, but I think it had a bit more to do with media commitments...He had a book signing in Sydney yesterday afternoon.

He's playing the Pura Cup match.

Anyone know why the new ball wasn't taken for NSW? If it was to get MacGill some wickets, that is not cool.

What are the odds of him turning up and getting a massive ton?

Well going off here:

Both Clark and Clarke got three wickets apiece as Queensland were out for 467, with Noffke getting a 50 and Hartley and Johnson getting a solid 34 and 33 respectively. NSW are in bit of a hole at 3/143 with Clarke run out and Thornely not out on 6 and Katich on 63, but Jaques missed a good chance to get a good total, he better do better in the 2nd innings. Queensland a good chance for 1st innings points at this stage.

Clark's dismissals of Symonds and Simpson were very quality.

EDIT: Symonds edged a length ball that moved away a shade and Simpson tried to block one directed at his shoulder which took the edge of the bat.

I know, how good is he? :D :D

i saw it on sports tonight ..same as you i assume
his leg cutter is classic... also has a very accurate bouncer..doesnt try to take the batsmens head off...

Lee looked ordinary... MacGill was hit for six by Haydos and Symo..but theres not much you can do against those two sometimes..they werent bad deliveries

Yeah I saw it on Sports Tonight. It was Simpson though not Philipson not that it really matters. Symonds was a very typical dismissal for both batsmen and bowler.

Anyone at the ground know if MClarke bowled well. I saw the lbw that went straight on to get Noffke out, but apart from that?

Bit rough on Phillipson. He's not even playing.

Cullen got some tap too today, he's so over-rated it isn't funny. Heal is definitely leading the candidates at the moment if MacGill isn't up to task. Wish N.S.W. would give Hauritz a go in Pura Cup, reckon he deserves it with his improved bowling this year.

yea agreed, i don't know why Cullen and Bailey get so much attention ..before this season it was who 'fill in the spot of Warne long term' b/w those two... but not much mention of Heal

Cullen and Bailey would have to be the two happiest blokes in Australia right now they get paid far too much for their work performance. How Bailey is on a CA contract is beyond belief. 25 is way too many anyway.

Cullen got so much attention because he had a reasonable debut season and at the time the Australian press was demanding a young spinner to take over from Warne. However, since that debut season he's been lucky to average below 40 with the ball which is just pathetic.
