You konw I don't rate Bracken, but I've always been of the opinion that if a guy's performing you pick him. I don't think it matters what happens in this match Lee, Clark & MacGill will play first test. Johnson will likely be the third seamer, but if he goes for heaps and Bracken takes a bag, Bracken could play.
I just think, unlike previously if bowlers aren't performing it won't take long until they are dropped. If Lee has a poor series against Sri Lanka a lot is going to come down to the state matches inbetween then and when India tour.

Disapointing to see him get out after getting well and truely set, however he did his job as Queensland really needed quick runs today after losing a session yesterday.

Hayden caught at Deep midwicket by Bracken off Clark. Bulls now 5/320. Will need some big runs from Simpson/Noffke/Hartley to get a 500 total.

this is bad, both Lee and MacGill struggled as well... both went for over 100+ ..not so sure about our bowling right now..
only Stuart Clark has been good... 3/79 in around 27 overs
and Clarke was good too .. took 3 wickets surprisingly
not a good day for Macca... as not only did he get poor figures.. but Pup claimed 3 cheap wickets..and also Tait is doing well over in Tassy... double blow...

Yes, exactly.
With our current lineup there are going to be days when opponents score 4/350 as we have bowlers who are hot and cold..
I actually wouldn't mind at all if someone like Heal, Hilfenhaus or Tait was selected ahead of MacGill and the 3rd bowler.
I really hate Brett Lee when he gets dire figures, always annoyed when he bowls no balls too.
