I was thinking the same thing, Not a bad Idea at all... There are so many new points through these posts but is there any one to watch? It would be great to see the Africa Cup brought back with Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa A, Namibia and Uganda playing each other. It could produce a cracker of a tournament the way things are going at the moment.
If I remember correctly, it was last due to be played in November of last year. November would be a good time, but Jan or Feb would also work depending on who hosted it. Kenya can really host games anywhere from July through to November before the short rains and then Jan & Feb. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya could all certainly host in terms of grounds and possibly Namibia, but I don't know if they have enough ODI grounds.Or perhaps both but either way it sounds like a good idea. Wonder when it would be scheduled though?
There was even talk once back in 05' of an Afro-Asia 'A' team cup to be hosted by Bangladesh and some teams eg kenya even named squads but its been postponed so many times since that the Idea is probably deadIf I remember correctly, it was last due to be played in November of last year. Ideally this is something that should be shared around.
It is about time the regional youth tournaments were brought back as well.
May be beacuse A.Obanda got enough batting practise & the others should now...Kenya reach 48/1with David Obuya being the man out and they've suddenly decided to throw Collins Obuya in at 3 instead of Obanda who looked pretty set in that position in the previous match why? ... no wait WHY?!!! .
Not sure if it was poor captaincy or just that he wanted a bigger total to aim for. Not going for the jugular perhaps, but the batting department is in more need of practice than the bowling and I get the feel that Kenya are pretty confident they can beat Bermuda every time. Just hope they don't get overconfident...Poor captaincy from Steve Tikolo meant that Bermuda were able to get up to 183, which could prove tricky to knock off. Seems silly that he bowled himself for a full allotment and left Thomas Odoyo with three and Peter Ongondo with four. Malachi Jones did well at the end, and those quick runs could prove vital. Romaine finished unbeaten on 61*.
