Hmm My choise are the same as Steulen...I reckon Denmark, Namibia and Uganda are good shouts with either UAE or Argentina with good shouts.
By the way Uganda came within 7 runs of beating Bermuda on Sunday, they are in a rich vein of form
Ur rite... Anyways Bermuda are not gonna be the ODI team after 2009 Qualifiers in UAE... Feel Namibia should take their place...What's the point of giving Bermuda games when they're going to field a team with an average age is about 30? These guys aren't going to be around if/when Bermuda get anywhere near international standard.
Malachi Jones and Kyle Hodsoll are each 18 and the openers are 24, but everyone else is over 30 and there are five of them over 34. The ICC is just wasting money by investing in such teams.
Hope The World Cup Qualifiers in 2009 are of High Profile & Telecasted live all over the World....Well at least there is the ICC trophy in 2009 to set things straight as far as ODI status is concerned and if Bermuda don't shape up they will have to ship out and be replaced by whoever plays well enough to finish in the top 6 of tha tourney. Too bad there isn't anything similar to keep 'Test' nations on their toes while giving Non-test teams a real target to aim for.
BTW apparently Bermuda took 5 u19 players on the Africa tour
Indeed. Canada are fast turning into that sort of team also. What's the point of giving Bermuda games when they're going to field a team with an average age is about 30? These guys aren't going to be around if/when Bermuda get anywhere near international standard.

There's no sense in giving international experience to players who won't be around when meaningful internationals are played. Those are just token caps. The point of these games aren't merely to avoid defeat or avoid heavy defeats. It's meant to allow international footing for these teams, meaning the players. Why do the minnows have to play young teams? They should play their best teams and put in place a decent domestic structure whereby the experience gained from internationals is passed on through the best players competing in those competitions. Increasingly the top minnows are now playing more A team and U19 tours which is where the younger players should be gaining their experience, not in the national teams at the expense of better older players.
At international level, I believe a country should always field its best possible team regardless o the sport and competition.
Actually any team need’s both experienced & Young... A team can’t win only with the tired old or young with no strategy.... So it should be the combination of seniors & young blood... Seniors should take the responsibility till the younger players settle in the national squad...And when, in ten years time the current crop of 'young players' who have had all the international experience have to move on to make ready for the next crop of green players and the countries are still not playing 'meaningful' internationals, due to the lack of space in the international calendar, disinterest from Test teams etc, what then? You are back to where you started.
Most of the players currently playing in these games between the top Associates would consider themselves to be playing meaningful games. They may not be playing Test nations, but national pride is as much at stake as if they were.
Indeed with promotion/relegation tied to the results of many of these iner-Associate games, they are potentially more important in the big scheme of things for these countries. Fielding a young team that gets beaten and missed out on promotion to the next tier up when they could field a more experienced team that could achieve that would actually set these countries back, not help them.
Putting out second rate, but young sides is also not going to win fans to the game when they get belted on the field. Without growing their fan base, none of the current top Associates are going to take the next step up anyway. To do this, they need their national teams to be as successful as possible i.e they need their best XI to play for them.
Associates are only going to get more matches against top teams if their performances warrant it. To do that, they need their best teams on the field, irrespective of age.
Looks pretty nice for sure, certainly promising for cricket in the USA.Hi guys here are the pics of new Cricket stadium under construction in Florida, USA... Stadium should be ready by next month... Looks Kool is'nt it?
