Haha, oh no! BRS joined a month before SW\BLE even created his first CW account. Anyway, the opening post of this thread would have been directed towards England if it'd been him. :p

Oh, you didn't mean Stumped, did you? No, the two had the bashing-on about nonsense in common but SW\BLE isn't completely stupid, Stumped is.

Australia not as dominant as before

I think the T20 Championship and their recent series against IND show that Aus are not as dominant as before. They won the series against IND, but in some of the games, they really struggled to score runs, and only 1 or 2 players eventually got them to a good total. The bowling wasn't all that good either. I think the AUS team of last ODI WC would have defeated IND in all of the matches which this team didn't do, clearly indicating decline. I guess the SL series will give better indication, if SL draw or win the series, it will mean AUS have declined a lot.

They may or may not be as dominant as before, but T20 and ODI does not prove it either way.

N eed to also remember that they were without Bracken and Ponting fro part ofthe series, and without Hussey for all of it. Tait was also unavailable, coming off a pretty good WC.

I'll reserve judgment until they've played a few test series without Warne & McGrath.

No team has done anything of any significance to make this claim. Two losses in Twenty20 do not mean anything.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I think Australia IS less dominant. Simply due to the fact the talent pool isn't up there anymore. Example:

McGrath or Langer injured? There will be someone to take his place. Not a full strength Australia, but still a good chance they'll win.

Now McGrath, Warne and Langer are gone, their former substitutes now first team regulars are vulnerable if THEY get injured, which is what happened in India. It wasn't a dominant clean sweep, with about 75% full strength side.

It's going to be interesting, the next Test and ODI series. But when players like Hussey and Tait return, it won't be as "difficult" for them as it was in India.

They may still be dominant that would depend upon others. They are certainly not the team they were.

This is definitely an over exaggeration of the highest order.

If anything their win in India (ODI series) should've shown otherwise....

Sri Lanka are in for a tough series...and a 1-0 series loss to Australia is something I will take happily now...

Good for Cricket. we might seem some matches going into the 4th and 5th days without knowing the winner.

Australia are not going to be as dominate, but still winning a one day series in India is always a good achievment.
