***Official*** Australia in India

Saw one delivery of the innings between running in and out, happened to RP Singh's monster wide. Was awesome.

Top effort from India and Kartik, wouldn't rule out Australia yet though.

I think this could still be an interesting game because the pitch is offering assistance to spin bowlers and i think ball is gonna swing under lights, so if Lee and Johnson can take some early wickets then its game on!!

6 wickets for Kartik! I feel so good for him; always rated him. He's bowled really well in this series but has been handled poorly by the captain IMO - good to see him get the rewards today.
Indeed, at an economy rate of above 5. I feel both of those statistics would be a lot better if for a few things:

* He didn't spend the first half of his career with Patel/Dravid behind the stumps - the amount of missed stumpings that cost his wickets and later runs early on was amazing
* He wasn't only brought into the team when India were getting absolutely smashed
* He was handled better by the respective captains he played under and not used as an after-thought

Still though, numbers are numbers and he's had a very poor ODI career. Good to see him get rewards today for his good bowling nonetheless.

I think there are two things to say about Karthik: one he was never even liked by past captains and Ganguly was pretty harsh in the way that if he didn't like someone - they were screwed while if he liked someone (Harbhajan), they could do no wrong.

I am glad to see Karthik doing well. As with any 6-fer, a couple of those wickets were gifts, but still a fantastic bowling performance. With Kumble is obvious decline, he might be good to try out against Pakistan, and should be in the reckoning with Harbhajan, Powar and Karthik for a spot on the tour to Australia.

Blah blah blah - blah.
8-) Wow, are you seriously the worst poster on this site? You've just received honor of being the third person ever on my ignore list.

Agreed. Australia certainly are not done. Though I would say India are favorites, I don't think it will be a big win. It'll go down to the wire IMO, and Australia can certainly pull it off.

If I was an Indian fan I would have really wanted Dravid in a chase like this, esp with run rate not an issue. Seriously, a disgrace he was dropped, imo, can't get over it.

SS who are the other 2 on your ignore list mate?
Probably not who you'd think. Don't want to get in a stink over it, so I won't say :).

Agreed. Though I can't help but like the fact that he won't play ODIs anymore, if it extends his Test career. But forcibly dropping your best player is ridiculous.
