Oh, I feel the same way. Unfortunately, not too many others give a ****.
Nah, people give a **** but it's easier just ignoring it imo.
Yes, it's easier just ignoring it ... but at some point you start to wonder why it shouldn't be possible to maintain a high standard on the forums instead of having to accept the filth and deal with it. You know, there's a reason we're not posting on Cricbuzz. Of course, you only start to wonder about such things when you spend a substantial amount of time on CW. Quite frankly, I CBF to complain about it anymore.
Sums it up well for mine.

There's much more I could say but I don't really want to discuss it on here and I highly doubt I'll ever manage to get both of you on MSN at the same time as me so I'll leave it at that.

I'd have to disagree, I think the opposite is true if anything. We are portrayed as the king's of ugly behaviour, and if anyone else does it then they're just 'fighting back'.It's a different story because you're deliberately going out of your way to get into a player's face and cause a reaction. If someone is clapping in your face you're going to notice it, and it's going to get a reaction. If someone says something to you from 50 metres away, it's a lot easier to ignore.
Fair enough mate.

And on another note (and I know this is OT but) why do haroon and Raghav hate India so much? I can always understand why some people like some teams and support them passionately (like Turb etc) but how can you explain just pure hatred towards a certain team? Is that allowed in these forums? Do they have to publicly make fun of and humiliate India and Indian cricketers? I know not many pay too much attention to them but I think it is quite ridiculous that we have to put up with the stuff they say in their sigs etc. and their gloatings when India lose. It is one thing to support a team and feel happy about their wins but this is a rather perverse thing to do, saying you hate a certain team and then make fun of them and their supporters when they lose. Doesn't anyone else thing it is just plain wrong? And BTW, the same goes for anyone else here at CW who hates any team, not jus India....
Haroon's signature and posts make me wince every time I see them. I have to agree with HB that his (and Raghav's) signature could rightly be interpreted as flaming, so I'm surprised it has not been removed. I have to give all the credit in the world to the regular Indian posters here who always deal with them with the utmost of class and decency. I don't know if I could've been so civil or patient.

well, tbh, given the way India have been playing, we don't have much to tell them... ;)

But seriously, my point is, even if it is ok for someone to hate a team or a nation (although personally I cannot see why such a thing should happen), we can always ask them to express it in a better and more sensible way. Their sigs can so easily lead people (esp. new members) on the wrong track. Not many will see someone like Raghav for his quality posts, will they? They will just read one post of his, make up their mind that he is a biased idiot and start replying to his posts with that in mind. It doesn't help anyone, AFAIC.

Does he make any ? He is about the only guy on my ignore list (and I hate using this feature). With all due respect to him, I find his posts very annoying Even when he is not making anti-India post, his support for NZ is probably the most phony thing I have come across on this forum and it annoys the hell out of me.

As for Haroon's anti-india posts, I find them amusing and at times nostalgic ;)

Quality one there.Thats why i have them in my signature. If only the mods could do something about signatures of people which says "against country or player or team", then only things might improve.Till then i will add them to my list and expose them.

Coming to sreesanth's behaviour, even though we as indians are not used to his kind of antics and wierd sledging methods, he is simply repaying what australia has been doing to their opponents for the last couple of years.

I dont even think people in india are acutely aware of racism and stuff as in western world and what they did infact were "taunt" symonds. It is being represented in the australian media as "racial abuse". Get over it australia and move on.

it is called freedom of speech.. we need to have the right to openly state and tell what we like and what we don't like.. i am sorry if u mind it... as a fan of a team u need to have the gut and patiance to accept all these since in a game everyone's favorite team differes from other...in case of india it ins't personal it is just the team that i hate.. with the exception of sachin and yovraj singh there is no one in that team to like.. they are rabbish players.. if they get lucky and win a match with thier win being a fluke.. there is more than 300 post in homepage of cricinfo.com about thier win..
i don't see any reason why i would like indian team.... apart from sachin and yovraj and sometimes gangully i don't see any cricketer to like in that team...if u think i should like indian team because of morans like sreesanth, agerker, harbanjan singh, or even anil kamble.. i much rather watch kenya vs bangladish.. at least they try to win and play cricket with a good spirit... with respect for each other

and why would u expose mee.. i thought u r someone neutral.. u r contridicting urself with ur name there by taking india's side.. it is laughable how come someone who contridict himself would expose me.. ur exposing ur baise sid ur self here..

as a cricket lover indian team is my least favorite team to watch.. and i hate to see them win matches... now as a cricket lover and as indian cricket lovers u guys should take it...if u can't then don't bother to watch any type sporting game.. because in sports it has been a tradition when one team is like by some and hate by other.. infect that is the fun part of a sport ..

That's double standards. You cant use Ignorance as an excuse for justifying racial abuse. IMO People in India are(or should be) fairly well informed and educated about racism considering their own history with this.

We always talk about how aussie(or, as you said, Western World) should respect other(e.g. Subcontinent) cultures and should be careful in what they say, what could be acceptable in Australia might be considered offensive to Indians, Now should we not use the same yardstick for Indian fans, cricketers as well ?

But the issue here is, we see indian crowds even booing and doing the same thing which they did to symonds, to indian players as well, when things go wrong. Can we take that as racial abuse. No.Infact thats the way the crowds in india are. Some of them educated and knows which may be right or wrong and some of them uneducated, who indulge in these things.Culturally in australia, it may be misinterpreted.

Infact if you recall correctly, the whole thing was started by the SYMONDS only before the start of the series, when he said something really stupid (i forgot it.SJS might remember). This came in media and from then on the crowds and media have started paying more attention to Symonds.

Now that the things have got out of control, i think the BCCI should issue a public statement of apology and ask the crowd to behave well.Otherwise there is going to be a lot of illwill when india is going to go to australia.

Racial abuse cant be justified, period.

Don't see anything particularly wrong with Haroon's sig tbh. Its all part of the India-Pakistan rivalry, and as long as he doesn't exhibit a racial/religious hatred for Indians I think there's nothing wrong in rooting against them.

Some of his posts are clearly over the top though, and the part about Hafeez in his sig is shocking.

Just spotted that as I don't often pay attention to long sigs (yeah, yeah, I know). Should be removed IMO, if haroon doesn't James should.

I think that's a bit ott I think, it's not as though his sig says "I Hate India" which would be extremely offensive.
