I don't know, of course I want SA to win but in all honesty your bowlers are pretty average, if England can get 200

Oh oh. sorry for that. :)
Lol no need for that man, I was just saying :).

Why dont we use Sehwag as a bowler at all ??
Yeah it would've been great to try him out for atleast 1-2 overs today.

But I think our run rate is such that even if the game tomorrow was a tie, I think our RR would be higher than NZL's. But of course if it was a tie we wouldn't make it to the Semis.

Yeah bowling is still pretty bad. I really wanted Y Pathan to get some game before this game against RSA.

Isn't it a weird equation though, you can win the game and your run rate can still go down?
You can. (Since it's effectively run difference divided by overs faced.)

However, since India have already scored 8 runs more than they've conceded, and will win by at least one run (making 9), then they can't get a net run rate less than 9 divided by 60 overs = 0.15. Still better than NZ.

Either Joginder or Sreesanth should be dropped for Chawla (or Yusuf Pathan). Your pick?
I would like to try Yousuf Pathan. He is a pretty aggressive batsman.

Joginder Sharma has to be dropped. Then its a question of whether to also drop Sreesanth and get Agarkar back. Its touch and go.

I think bowling him in the initial new ball spell of 2 or 3 or even 4 ovesrs is what we should do with Agarkar. He should NEVER be brought back later in the game. Then we might be able to use him.

I would stick with Sreesanth who has some potential unlike Agarkar. If nothing else it will be useful experience for future ODI's.

I am a bit apprehensive about putting Chawla in a huge pressure game against some big hitters. Still the lad has shown some spunk and he will probably be able to handle it.

Incidentally one of the things I like about this format is how it exposes the weak links in your bowling. How many times have you seen a team lose a game because of one or two bad overs often from a part-time bowler. By contrast in ODI's you can often hide such bowlers in the middle overs.

Oh I totally agree. Its just that tomorrow's game is so crucial and Sreesanth is a bit dicey.

I would never again chose Agarkar for another India tour/series.

Hmm looks to be a fairly good chance of NZ being knocked out. SA could just get to a certain point chasing/bowling where they may just try to make sure they get close enough to India that they both go through to the semis, it would take a defeat by a significant margin for SA to be knocked out.

Well i don't think India would beat South Africa, because the Proteas have easily looked like the best team in this tournament and on their current form i don't think India has a chance of beating them, and if they do then hats off to them.
Can't help but just laugh at Broad's predicament 6 sixes of an over, poor lad isn't he considered to be the best T20 bowler back home in England.

but no where it is said that its serious.......

any news on him..................
I saw footage of him hobbling off the field during training and it didn't look at all good. I haven't heard any news but I'd be highly surprised if he was fit for India's next match.

EDIT: Cricinfo has listed him in India's probable lineup though so perhaps he's fine.
