Oh SP's always like that, don't mind himGee, that's real gracious in defeat :dry
In hindsight, that's a bit of a silly comment!and Taylor drops New Zealand's chance of making the semi-finals.
Geez!
You're being gracious, but I'm struggling to see how England completely bottling it yet again counts as 'well played' on their part. Agreed about NZ, obviously. That was a sensational game. Well played both teams
He's well aware.Oh SP's always like that, don't mind him
NZ fielding was awesome today! except for the Taylor's miss. Vincent dive on the boundary to stop four was really spectacular. I am really proud to say I am a true BLACKCAPS fan .... Vettori ROCKS!Ah well, another oneday comp, another unmittigated failure. Shouldn't be a surprise by now.
I missed the whole of the NZ innings. Did we actually manage to hold our catches today?
As for the batting, if cricinfo are to be believed, KP's dismissal seems the most brainless piece of posturing we're likely to see for a very long time. Thank goodness there's only 3 games in this stage of the competition and we can leave it to the sides that aren't made up of dimwits who look like they've never played a oneday innings in their life.
Good luck to the kiwis, anyway.
England=Failing when it matters...Usual mediocre tripe by New Zealand, usual unbelievable botch job from England.
How the hell can you score 4-3 off a penultimate over like that. Absolutely pathetic. Just give the trophy to Australia already.

How else can I put it? New Zealand were rubbish, England just completely botched it. First England let the shower of mediocrity recover from 31-4. Then you've got England getting off to a rare good start and they manage to collapse with a ton of wickets left to a bowling attack that couldn't bowl my mum out. If Bond had bowled that over against anyone else it'd have been double figures, against England they scored 4 runs and lost 3 wickets. When England weren't busy botching the game they completely dominated NZ. If NZ can get outplayed for large parts against England they haven't a hope in hell when they come up against a good Twenty20 side.Oh SP's always like that, don't mind him
High standard stuff really, other than Flintoff and Anderson the bowling was dire, fielding was as good as Englands ever is. Maybe even a little better with a super run out from Maddy that probably took away 20 more runs from NZ's total.Yes, I'm sure
But I was asking about England's fielding ...
Nobody is listening, nobody cares, you were outplayed, get over yourselfHow else can I put it? New Zealand were rubbish, England just completely botched it. We'd just be butting heads if I argued against this but you know my views on the matter, I thought it was a good match, due to us losing so many early wickets, and Bond not striking early on, England should have won. Fantastic bowling from Vettori and the fielding is the only real thing of note on our side of the equation in this victory but Englands middle order Wright aside completely failed. How else can I put it? Martin was dire. What shocks me the most is we bowled as a unit.. I Dont beleive it! Even Martin bowled well for goodness sake!
2 of his four overs were quite reasonable. He got wickets. I was thinking he'd go for at least 50 off his four.Martin was dire.
I still think Patel deserves his place, 1 for 37 could may well have been 2 for 25 or similar.2 of his four overs were quite reasonable. He got wickets. I was thinking he'd go for at least 50 off his four.
Agreed on that completely. I was almost in tears when I saw Martins name on the team sheet.I still think Patel deserves his place, 1 for 37 could may well have been 2 for 25 or similar.
