Huge game in the context of the finals series. If WC could have snuck through, then with the week off and playing at home, you'd have backed them to get through to a grand final, even with their injuries.
Port Adelaide now are only one win away from a granny, with a pretty clean bill of health. Brogan getting right will be important, but his injury didn't seem all that serious and with the week off he should be fine.

Melb v Freo and Coll v WBD were both high scoring last year. Most were, really.

Quite happy the Power got up last night, partly because I hate the Eagles, but mostly because Adelaide's draw in the finals is shaping up nicely now. West Coast now play Sydney or Collingwood, and the winner of Adelaide and Hawthorn will play the Roos next week, assuming they lose. That means Adelaide's potential path through the finals is Hawthorn, North and then Port Adelaide at AAMI. That's an awesome draw, three teams we beat during the season, and a neutral territory prelim. Much better than going to Subi.

Motlop is a gun, one of the best contested marks in the comp. Port are going to be one hell of a team in the future. They have one of the youngest teams and are bloody awesome.

Shattered. Franklin's awesome, but I thought we had that one in the bag in the second term. Pretty poor second half all round, and a few key players went missing in a big way.

Maybe Adelaide may actually try and get a forward line in 2008, otherwise there's seriously no point of them even playing. So many awesome players around the ground, and no one to consistently kick goals for them.
