***Official*** India in England

Nah. Six weeks before one of them is down with a long-term injury.
Or three weeks, until they face a batting order which can dispatch balls short and wide outside off stump for four.

Good to be 2-1 up but there is still room for improvement and in all honesty this Indian team isn’t well put together. Their seam attack looks less potent than Bopara and Monty (when the ball does little) and their fielding/mobility is worse than Pakistan.

Why do India take 5 bowlers when they can get 10 out of Tendulkar/Yuvraj/ Ganguly and could have taken in an extra bat?
Playing five bowlers was all about Munaf bowling well, the spin duo (Powar and Chawla) controlling the English batsmen and the same two living up to their potential with the bat. As things stand, at least two of the three have failed and the fielding has been pathetic. Yuvraj and Tendulkar are very handy on turning pitches and decent on normal pitches; for Ganguly, it's the opposite. In England, that part-time attack isn't quite what it is in the subcontinent. Regardless, we need to go back to four bowlers immediately.

Ganguly, Tendulkar, Uthappa, Yuvraj, Dravid, Dhoni, Karthik, Powar, Chawla, Zaheer, RPS

That was the bowling plan and it worked. It was that extra bounce the batsmen couldn't control.

Must be said. Both Dravid and Ganguly dismissed against the run of play. Especially Dravid, how many times have I seen get out in that fashion.

Regarding the 5 bowlers, 6 batsman thing. I think it defintely could be made to work, it's just that they have to improve their basics. Like Dravid, what with our crap fielding, and running between the wickets, and their proficiency at it. They already have a 50 run lead over us.

Which ended up being the margin of defeat. They just got to do the simple things better IMO.

Yuvraj gun, Chawla gun and all Indian team guns unfortunately lost to England... Poor guns. Guns failed in 3rd ODI
