***Official*** India in England

If it was 80 runs odd than i would've said, its going to go to end but i've seen Dhoni play some horrible shots and Yuvraj has a habit of getting himselg out :p

But yeh game on at least until these 2 are still in.
You mean "out", surely.

Good catch! Huge wicket!!! Jimmy does the trick. We might just be favourites now. :)
England were pretty much the favourites after the first innings... could never see India chasing down 280 with a tail that big

India are gonna get a real hammering when they come down to play in Oz, especially with the fielding they have. Fill your boots time for the Ausie batsmen - it'll be a good chance for Ponting and co to add a few extra runs to their averages!

Zaheer goes with an ugly heave across the line that misses a straight one from the Monster.

Probably the most muted celeb from Monty ever.

That's it. Full & straight from Jimmy and the leg stump's out of the ground.

Decent performance by us, but India looked at least a batter light. Powar & Chawla at 7 & 8 is a recipe for disaster.

This series is funny, first dodgy travellers outside of Asia for much of their history India win a Test series in England and England who are usually dire (ok maybe that is too strong of a word?) in ODIs are currently leading 2-1, although you never know what you might get with India or whether now I have jinxed England.

So what's next for India? I think an extra batsman is clearly needed. I would pick Robin Uthappa and drop either RP Singh or Powar depending on the conditions.

However after this tour India needs to groom a better player for the 8 spot. Powar and Chawla simply aren't good enough. Doesn't have to be a genuine all-rounder but at least someone who can average close to 20.

They're good enough for mine. It's one thing England going in with 5 as they have little realistic part time options besides Collingwood, but India have more than enough and chasing a big score with batting till Karthik at 6 is dodgy as. Would def have had Uthappa or Gambhir in there.
Wow, best call ever.

Problem with India is, if you're going to pick 5 bowlers, don't send the opposition in. India were cruising when Dravid and Ganguly were at the crease, but all it took was a couple of wickets and suddenly Dhoni and Yuvraj are in a "cannot get out or we lose" position. Whereas if you have a batsman in at 7, its far far easier to chase.

The successful large chases of recent times have come with long tails. Not Powar coming in at 7 and bunting Monty straight to the fielder.

Dravid, Ganguly and Dhoni's dismissals were all really disappointing.

If I was an English fan I'd be might excited about Broad and Anderson as a future opening pair for many years to come.
