Not really. I dont think he will (or should) be proud to have this as his best bowling performance.
Wickets are wickets, even if he didn't bowl one of the best spells of his international career.

50 for Dimitri, good innnings, shown what he can do down the order. Have to agree with Prince though, anything short and he looks ordinary.

Oh well, might have been still in this if Broad wasn't so hapless when the game was live.

England have just paid for not going on. Cameos don't win games.

Broad giving it a decent tonk here, 10 from 1 ball needed. Munaf better be hoping he can keep his foot behind the line.

bit harsh..surely it was only what could be was expected of a young no.9 batsman in only his 11th match, when coming in with 90 runs to win in 8 overs.

The positives surely are that we are now starting to see the England middle to lower order starting to contribute with the bat.

The real shame was KP, Collingwood and Flintoff and their lack of concentration/application earlier on

Nah, they failed. India won by 9 runs. Karthik won the first ODI in the end though.
Karthick's innings did not take IND close to target.. While England tailenders did. Thats the difference. Indians were beaten comfortably by a huge margin in 1st ODI but they narrowly won in 2nd ODI.. England still the favorites to win the series IMO

what does that matter? the series is tied 1-1...:)
It does matter mate...England will go into record books for being team that went so close to the target which is >300, while India will go in to the record books for being a team that lost by a margin of > 100 runs. Still, its 1-1. So, a lot of things mattered even its leveled.

No, India won the game. England's bowlers had a decent swing at the end and got England close to victory, which is a mental win for them, but India won the game.
I didnt tell England tailenders won the match. They won many spectators' hearts for fighting till the end. Well done Broad and Mascarenhas
